I asked a while ago if it was ok to increase the height on Imax2, RS & SB. You gave me great advice as far as Imax2, only increasing it for the first five segments.
So I thought I would try to increase the height on cardio workouts first and leave the Imax workout alone until I am comfortable with the increase.
Well Monday was RS with 8 inches, Tuesday was Cardio & Weights with 8 inches and this morning was SB with 8 inches. And man oh man do I feel the difference. Not only does it increase the intensity in the workouts, it also increased my heart rate. This morning I thought I was going to have to end the workout sooner than latter. And man oh man do I feel it in my butt!
My 5 year old came down stairs as I was coming up on the last part of SB (he is my little motivator). He asked if I was almost done, and I said I want to be. My little guy said to me... "Mom Cathe can do it, she isn't quiting." He actually also said "Where is your Game Face". So I had to keep going. He sat beside the step, far enough to stay out of the way but close enough so every time I came around the corner he gave me a high 5.
Then came the SB Challenge. I took a deep breathe, had to lower the step back to 6 inches though and off I went. Me and my little motivator high 5'ing the whole rest of the way through.
Thanks for the tip on the height increase!! I am enjoying the new challenge and really enjoying the new "good" pain it brings along. What a difference!
Thanks CATHE!!}(
