Step Fit nearly conquered!

When I first previewed this in April, I said no way. Something got into me to try it and, with some minor modifications, I really like it! That is more a testament to Cathe's excellent instruction than me, but still I feel so good about it. The only ones left I haven't done are Step Works (doesn't look too bad) and Rhythmic Step (still scary after three months).

Hey, did she call me a tootsie pop during the flying angel segment? :)

Hi Rose!
I do not own Step Fit but would just like to throw in a plug for Rhythmic Step! It is tons of fun and the music is great. Just my 2 cents worth there... if you have it, I say give it a shot, it's not too scary once you start doing it.

Hi Rose!
Congrats on your success with Step Fit (yes, she did call you a tootsie pop!). Not to scare you any more, but...I think Step Works is harder than Step Fit! But if the workouts were easy to do to begin with, they wouldn't keep you interested, would they? Good luck & keep us posted on what you think of Step Works & Rhythmic Step (I just got this one & am using a 14" step & it's currently kicking my butt but is a lot of fun!)

14"? Oh my!
Here's a plug for Step Works: Try previewing and doing it soon after, while the preview is fresh in your mind. That's what I did! It's a lot of fun.

You can do it!!! You go girl and if you figure out that pivot on the step move, please email me with instructions! I personally think that Step Works is easier to learn than Step Fit. I love Step Fit too, but I can't ever get that pivot move! Oh well, it keeps me coming back for more. And Step Works looks intimidating, but try it, it is so incredibly fun!!!

Jillybean,

I think I know the move you mean and I'll try to describe what I remember of it (I just did it this week but I'm too lazy to pull my step out this minute to see if I'm right...). In preparation for the pivot step you're doing regular repeaters, and each repeater is a three knee up thing, right? Well to switch to the pivot repeater, do only two knees up, then on what would have been the third, take the leg that was kneeing up (I think at first it's the left) and place it on the step ahead of the other foot. Now pivot on both feet at the same time around to the right 180 degrees. Next, take that left foot and put it down on the floor on your left side, then right foot on the floor on your right side, there's your straddle. Try it and see if it makes any sense and works for you. --Karen
