Step Co. Step Questions

Hello Everyone:

I recently found a Step Co. Step at a local sports equipment exchange place for 30 bucks. What a deal. After many years on a small unadjustable 8 inch step that I always liked just fine due to the price of the Step Co. one (I'd rather spend my money on new tapes...) I'm wondering about a few things. When I do something clutzy I sometimes get the feeling that the top portion is going to fly off such as when I kick it when going up onto or over the step. Does that ever happen? It's also kind of loud and it feels like it rocks a little from one end to the other. Is that normal? Don't get me wrong, I love the size and the height variations, I'm just not used to the feel of the thing and want to make sure it's normal. What do you guys think? IMAX didn't kill my knees at 6" the way it did at 8" so that alone was worth it! Thanks in advance.

Hi! I posted a similar question on this same forum about a month or two ago. You may want to try to search for it. People suggested putting a bathroom rug over the top(which is what I currently do) and even putting towels or diapers between the square risers (which I also do, but it makes it a bit off balance). It helps keep the sound down which is what I wanted since I exercise at 4:45 am while my family sleeps. I think your step is probably normal, since mine tends to have the same "problems". I also like it anyway! Hope this helps!

Step Co. Step

Hi,

I just got myself the step at Sam's. I did a search like you suggested (Step Co. step) and I went back all the way to October. I guess I missed it. Should I have put something else in the search area? I'm also interested in these issues.
