Step Blast warm-up?

:( Do any of you who have the new "Body Blast" videos have trouble with the portion of the "Step Blast" warmup where we straddle step side leg lift a quarter around the step and then turn around crossing over the step from the back to the front? I can not seem to figure this one out! HELP!;)
 
Hi Lisa! You have to count 3 times making it a quarter & then go over the step & turn. I'll be doing it tonite & I'll email you again tomorrow with a much better answer. Maybe you can tell me how to do that richocet move I seem to get the first one w/out using the arms but once she starts clapping one time & then 2 times forget about it! I'm completely lost! Also in combo 3 I don't seem to be landing on the right side of the step. I ALWAYS miss that peg leg pivot move. Its my favorite one! HELP! Ha! Kathy:(
 
:D Hi KathyH! So after the third leg lift I just go over the step? It looks to me like they are turning to the back of the step and then going over backward. I did finally master the peg leg pivot. After you go over the step (from the front) and squat (in back)then you do those two turns going around to the front of the step then peg leg pivot. I just know that I have to end up on the front side of the step to do the peg leg pivot. Try to remember which side of the step you are on front or back if you succeed or don't succeed! RE: the ricochet, always use the same foot to tap down alternating the side of the step with the same foot counting once on the inside and twice on the outside. I hope this helps! I am not sure if I got the steps in the correct order just before the peg leg pivot, but I know those fast straddle taps can put you on the wrong side of the step! Hi Lisa! I think I can help. You start the exercise as if you are doing an outer thigh around the world....so leading with the right leg, put your right leg on the step and do an outer thigh lift with the left foot. Then step down straddling the step. Now put your left foot on the step and do an outer thigh lift with the right leg and then step down so that you are now facing the back of the room.....Here is the catchy part....put your right foot on the step and do an outer thigh lift with the left foot and INSTEAD OF STRADDLING, step back down on the floor and put your LEFT FOOT on the step and go over the top and face front (that over the top part feels like the first half of the "over face in over move" that I have used in other videos). I hope this helps:)
 
:D Thanks Cathe! I am sure I will be able to do the move now! I am trying to envision this move in my head while sitting at my desk! Actually, I think I will get up and try it without the step. Luckily ownly one co-worker is here and she is in the other room. TRICKY!
 
Hi Lisa! Thanks soooo much for helping me! I just did a mental play of it in my head & you are correct. I need to be more careful when doing those straddle taps; I apparently wasn't straddling. I'm glad Cathe helped you b/c I couldn't remember it quite clearly in my head. Sorry about that, Kathy
