Hi everyone! I haven't posted for quite a while...doc had me cut out workouts during pregnancy (very active job, he said pick work or working out...so I just did extra walking and stretches...but boy did I miss my weights)and I'm looking for a little guidance as to best videos to start back with. I had a beautiful baby boy-Joseph Robert-on 3/15 after a very quick labor (1st time mom, under 5 hours from first contraction to delivery, 1.5 hr drive to the hospital, no time for epidural, but I don't think I would have changed our experience at all!) He's definitely a keeper, the apple of his daddy's eye, and my newest sweetheart (if only evenings weren't so painful-his fussy time, not gonna call it colic though!!!)
I've been staying active at home, but want to resume my video workouts. I have all of Cathe's workouts since Step Heat, a majority of the Firm workouts, Windsor Pilates videos, several yoga workouts, and most of the new Fitprime series as well as Christi Taylor's DVDs (my DH doesn't understand my video collection!) and I was looking for a little guidance from experienced mommies out there as to what worked the best. I have about 7 lbs to my prepregnancy weight, but that weight has redistributed itself
Any input is greatly appreciated!!!

Hi Julie!

Congratulations! I will leave the guidance to the experts as far as you starting back. Wow, an hour and a half drive? You might want to camp out there next baby! :7 I've missed yor posts on the forums. Aren't you THE Julie who took care of her Dad? Again, congratulations and give Joe a big hug from me. (Love the name...my brother, who I lost to cancer three years ago, name was Joseph/Joe/Joey!)

RE: Hi Julie!

well, as far as taking care of my dad, I bake him cookies regularly, make sure he eats during his busy season if I stop by the elevator, and take care of his first grandbaby...but that's as far as that goes....must be another Julie!
take care!

I had great success with my last baby starting back to working out with the CTX series. Of course, it was my only real workout video/s at the time...but I thought the 30 min cardio sections were perfect, plus I was able to get back into the weights thoroughly. Got some nice compliments on my figure, so that must mean I got some good results too. Congratulations on being a mom! Don't forget to get lots of sleep!
