Stability Ball problem

Cathe,SNM or anyone:
I just bought the Cathe Stability ball and I'm having trouble getting it to inflate. It is like fused together inside the ball itself. It's weird, I can't pull it apart it is stuck internally. I try to pull it apart but it's like it maybe melted and stuck together inside. I can not pump it up at all-When I try nothing happens in fact the yellow part of the pump will hardly depress because the air can't move inside the ball. Is my ball defective?

Thanks SNM for responding.
My DH is messing with it right now. I'm pretty sure I have everything hooked up correctly because when I don't have the tip in the ball the pump blows out air and the yellow accordion part of the pump depresses easily. When I try to insert the tip in the ball the yellow pump won't depress because like I said the air doesn't go anywhere because it's like the ball is fused inside.
I'm going to try to take it to a gas station to see if I can pump from there and if that don't work maybe someone from Scheels can help even thought I didn't buy from them.

I have a BOSU and 2 other stability balls and have not encountered this before. (my 1st stability ball kept losing air I would have to pump it up everytime I used it so I bought a new one about a month ago and it felt so thin and cheap that I decided to get a CATHE one for safety reasons)

Thanks again and good night.

I can't say I have ever heard of one of our stability balls sticking together, but I guess it is certainly possible. Let's know how you make out and if you are not successful please contact [email protected]

Well problem solved. I went to Scheels and a nice young man solved my problem. Turns out it was and operator error:p.

The Scheels salesman asked if he could help me and I said I had a problem with my SB and he asked if it was leaking. Ha! I said I can't even blow it up! He said OOOOOOOh, I know just what the problem is. He took the bag from me, opened up the box took out the SB and found the valve. He said he gets this all the time. He pulled out the valve cap and VOILA! an open hole, enough air got in and unstuck the innerds of the ball. He said now you should be able to fill it. My DH and I burst out laughing. The salesman said "now you see I knew what the problem was even before I opened the box. I think what causes this confusion is (he located the tiny ziplock baggie and holds it up) they include an extra valve cap and the top of the tip is hollow anyway so I think people just think they need to start pumping air." He packed up my ball and sent us on our way. Dh and I laughed all the way to the car. :D:rolleyes::eek:.

There was a slight problem with my vest too. It fit weird but then I realized I had it on upside down.

I feel like such a bonehead! Dh said I'm not allowed to buy anymore stuff.

So glad you got the problem resolved Tami. Please thank Mr. Scheels for us, lol. As far as the vest. Don't feel bad, I have put it on upside down far too many time too.

Thanks Cathe, I will do that. They are very kind there. And that ball feels sooo much better and safer than that cheap thin one I got last month.

Ha Ha, I did that too :D

Catherine, I guess if Cathe's done it then we're in good company

Alls good.
