Okay, can I rant? My mom had a Dr. appt. on Thursday that she's had for 6 months. That means I leave where I live after work on Wednesday, drive 1 1/2 hours to my parents house, spend the night, drive them 1 1/2 hours from their house to the doctor, 1 1/2 hours back to their house, then 1 1/2 hours home on Thursday. I know, you're wondering why their doctor is so far away, but he's a great doctor and we all really like him. So, I took Thursday and Friday off work to do this. I was going to just have a day off on Friday. What a concept. Now the doctor's office has to re-schedule. Aaauurrggghhhhh! They don't understand this is all a finely balanced mechanism between parent visits and this just throws everything off! I'll figure it out, I always do, but yuck.
 
Oh, and I did work out yesterday. I did PLB up only, all the ball work, plus abs from PUB. Today I'm going to do cardio, either Rhythmic Step or run outside, depending on the weather.

I feel better now. And I think I have a plan. But I need to talk to DH. Plus, our bike is coming this week and somebody has to be home for it. So we'll see.

death by salsa!!!! my lunch was sooooooo good! i ate the whole container of salsa!!!! it was so good and fresh and chock full of veggies! its like none other - wish you gals could all try it! anne, its horrocks. i shouldve bought 2 containers! mikes gonna b mad he didnt get any!:D

Anne, so sorry about the family issues. I wish your life could slow down a bit.

Klaudia, we all have off days about our bodies... sometimes I wish I could just be fat and be okay with it! YAY on your preorder!

Okay, I'll be good now, I promise. The bike is coming tomorrow and someone has to be home for it, so Jim will be home from 11:00 to 1:30 and I'm going to leave work after my 11 o'clock meeting and work from home for the afternoon. That takes care of that issue. I was having trouble sorting out weekend visits to my parents, but my brother will go on 4/11. Since I already have Thu and Fri off this week, I'll probably go see them for the day on Thu, 4/2. That frees me up for 4/11 because I just signed up to do a 5K that day with childhood friends, one of whom I have not seen in at least 15 years. Whew!

Angie, thanks, I wish my life could slow down, too. I really think the dog will help. We'll have to stay home and focus on her for a while. Slaap lekker!

Robin, I would love living in the woods. But I would definitely need consistent Internet access!

Klaudia, thanks. I do believe my current plan leaves me free to have lunch with you on Saturday, if you can stand being jerked around by me like this. If not, I completely understand! And yay on your preorder! I did mine last week, but I have no idea what day at this point. I do know it's invoice #1322. Which I multipled by $99. Yowza!

Kate, I think you told me before to try Horrock's salsa, but I haven't yet. I will, though, salsa is one of my go-to foods.

GOOD NEWS!! It was very obviously box cake mix, and canned frosting. I put my face very close to the frosting and inhaled deeply several times, but did NOT eat even ONE bite!

WO done. I ran about 3 miles. I did 20 minutes, walked for 1 minute, then did another 16:20. Very slow, I know, but I'm hoping my time will improve as I train for the half marathon. I heard from the two friends I'm supposed to do it with today. One says she may not be able to because of a bad ankle, but she's the one who lives in Chicago and encouraged the other two of us to do it and spend the weekend at her house. So, even if I can't run the race (I worry my hips/knees won't take that amount of training and distance) I'll still get a girls weekend in Chicago. Of course, it's the same weekend as the Cathe Road Trip, so I took my name off the waiting list. Why is my life so complicated? Oh, yeah, because I let it be. I'm going to work on that.

Katie, great job on not eating the cake! I had a burrito for lunch today, but it had lots of veggies on it!

I forgot to tell you guys--I tried the one-legged pikes the other day. I did almost one on each side and said, Yeah, that's enough of that. I'll have to try again later in the week.

No run today because I got home, started to have a quick snack and Chris came home. He mentioned that his lunch was a power bar and started eating. I told him that we should start dinner so we did. I will try to run in the morning after my cardio.

Kate, I am a little pissed my sister hasn't used the workouts but she has no space in her house unless she moves furniture in a corner. So I understand. Have fun burning off that half cookie tonight.

Anne, I have the concerns about running a half marathon - all that impact.

anne, i am so excited for you and the dog! good luck with the crate - try e bay? have you run a half marathon before? i am sure you can do it. 1 thing to try with the one legged pikes - do a reg pike onto toes, then lift one leg up and balance for 3, then lift other leg, then roll back out. repeat 8 times:eek:

colleen, good plan with the am run. we leave for burke va tomorrow - near you i think! i cannot wait to run outside in shorts.

klaud, i hear ya on the body issues. maybe you need a week off to get some strength gains? i know sometimes after i lift heavy for a while i need to back off to see the gains, if that mnakes sense. lucky girl dh went with the v - my dh refuses - what a babay.

katie, great job resisting the cake. i am impressed!

i pushed it this am and ran a fast 5 miles (39 min) then did imax 3 blasts only. my abs were sore today from what i told anne to do. i was at work all morning, which was stressful, and my eats were about 80% d/t stress. no bad foods, just a bit too much. ah well, the weekend was perfect, so i cannot complain. now i am supposed to be packing for our trip but i had to catch up with you all. we are supposed to stay with my little sister for 2 nights before we go to the inlaws, but she sounds a bit, um, unwelcoming. i think she is stressed, and i understand that, but we are coming all that way to see her too. anyways, i just hope the boys behave and i get to run:p then i will be a happy camper. no offer yet after 3 showings this weekend. plaese let it happen soon! i will be back in the am before we leave. g'night!
