squats with dumbbells

First I want to say THANK YOU for the STS/Shock Cardio rotation I am seeing great results!!!


I have a question about the squats using dumbells, does this work the muscle differently? I find it to be very aquard to do. I feel pressure in the front of my knees that I don't feel when I use a barbell. I want to get the most out of my workout and I am afraid to use weights heavy enough to do that when doing the dumbbell squats. But I also want the muscle confusion if this works something different. I am able to use about 20lbs more with a barbell. Any help with this would be appreciated!

Hi Julie! Comfort comes first. If you are feeling this in you knees than stick with the barbell. You can continue to shock your muscles with a barbell by doing tempo variations and changing the order of your exercises too.
