Spring into Summer 5/13

Hello Pinky, Susan, Kathy, Sabine, Shywolf, Brenda & all-

I'm in my last week (week 3)of my S&H rotation. It has been good, but I am ready for an endurance rotation starting on Mon 5/17. I may do Cathe's May Rotation. I am interested in putting stretching days in, although I may precede them with 25" cardio to get my muscles warm. I can't remember if The May rotation is endurance or not. Any one care to join in? SCM, how about you?
Brenda- you must be getting ready to leave- Have a fantastic time!
Pinky- glad to see you are working out.
Lisa- I hope your son can be pain free before too long.
 
Good morning ladies,

Judy, if I remember correctly, the May rotation is a strength/cardio/stretch combo. It sounds really good, but with this vacation flab I'm trying to burn, I'm more into a circuit/strength/muscle-and-cardiovascular endurance this month. I do my stretches while my son is eating his afternoon snack after he comes home from school.:)

Today I'm listening to my body, which tells me it's tired, so today is rest day. My body seems to be bouncing back from my "off-season junk extravaganza". My abs are starting to re-form -- wonderful to see in the mirror upon waking:), my arms have lost some softness, and my body feels lighter.

Unlike last January when I was so gung-ho about losing the Christmas flab, I'm taking it slow this time. I don't want to bust my crummy knees again.

Brenda, have fun. Hope you can check in while you're away.

Lisa, I hope Michael's doing better, and so are you.:)

Hello Ladies!
Judy, I'm in my second week of my one-part/day rotation. I think I'll stick with this for at least one more week. I'm getting great strength gains and getting more muscular looking. After next week I'd like to incorporate the CXT series ~ which will arrive either today or tomorrow. :) I ordered in morning so hopefully today.

Pinky, I listened to my body last night too. I was so tired from not sleeping well for 2 nights in a row, I decided to rest. I feel so refreshed today. After work I might do SJP without the weights. How are you sleeping now, btw?

This morning was Biceps. PS, SH and PUB (PUB was tough). I'm proud to say that I still can match or go heavier than Cathe does in the workout. Followed by ME-abs twice.

Good wonderful day to all!

I'm taking a rest day although this will be the 3rd consecutive day that I've not done a workout. I woke up with my head feeling like it's being rammed into a wall ...I think I finally got my lil one's head cold.

Well it's all good as my body is responding to my clean eating and I have been walking quite a bit. So I feel good not too bad as it's also my 37th birthday today :), I got my phone call from my wonderful mom and dad and that's all I needed for today :) Now it's back to cleaning bed sheets as they all smell like vicks ...hah!
 
Happy Birthday Shywolf!! Sorry you're not feeling well. But eating clean on your big day?? That's dedication.

Before you know it you'll be back working out again, colds are just temporary breaks.

Thanks for the birthday wishes Susan; but I didn't mention that my hubby picked up a 1/4 sheet birthday cake for me this morning. I put it in the freezer until Saturday when everyone will be home at the same time. Dedication on my clean eating will go out the window once I cut that cake on saturday LOL
 
Happy Birthday Shywolf!!! Hey, didn't you know that on your birthday cake is considered a clean food? Oh yeah, just keep the dust off, and hair off, and voila! It's clean! ha, ha! I hope you have a great day today.

Pinky you made me smile the way you put what your body it telling you. I must just be in a great mood today, because a lot of you are just making me smile when I read your posts.
Well, I dont' know if I should have done this, but I did. Yesterday I did the parts of Leaner Legs that I missed the day before, OUch! Then I did Push Pull upper body premix the 2 times through one. Not the 3 times through. Ouch, anyway!
Yeah, my butt is sore today, woo! Those sit and stands kill me every time. I cant realy stand without helping myself up today with my arms. Oh well.
Today may be a good day to rest. Yes, I think that is what I'll do. I'm affraid that ifI did any cardio, my legs would be too sore to finish. I thought, maybe some hi low, or kickboxing. But ouch! Maybe not. We'll see. Maybe I'll feel better in a couple of hours and I'll do Hi Lo heaven. Maybe.

Hey everyone,

First, Happy Birthday Shywolf! I hope you feel better soon. You'll have to let us know if you wound up treating yourself, as you suggested you might in yesterday's post!

I did Janis Saffell's Kick Box Strike Zone this morning. It's an hour long, with some cardio, target drills, and unweighted leg work. It also gets your core pretty well. It's not as intense as a Cathe kickboxing workout, but I like it a lot. Pinky, if your ever looking for something for your legs again if your knees should hurt (I hope they don't, though), I think this is a great workout.

I saw my first cicada for this once-every-17-years appearance. I guess they're here.

Everyone, thank you very much for your thoughts for Michael, and for me. I will keep you posted.
 
Just checkin' in again to wish ShyWolf a HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Have some of that cake, okay?:)

Susan, I've been sleeping better the last few nights. I guess it was because I've been hitting the weights hard, which is great both for my insomnia and my flab.:)

Kathy, my butt has been sore for the last two days, and I did less than half of PLB and used less than half the weights I used before. Well, I did Step and Intervals before the leg work and subbed butt lifts (where I raise my leg backward and as far as it can go) for those power 15's and 7's, which that workout had a lot of.

Lisa, thanks for the suggestion. I'll keep Janis Saffell in mind.

Thanks gals for all the wonderful birthday well wishes. Today has been very low key as I have a sick kiddo and mom here is feeling a bit sick also.

I'm getting very anxious here since I've not done a 'real' workout here but it's just how things go I guess.

I've been reading so much about the P90X series ...intriguing ? Very!but I'm not going into that camp for awhile as I've got 2 rotations worked over here that I want to try out. I'm 7 # away from my WW goal and I want to see how far I can go with Cathe.

I'll have some yummy birthday cake on Saturday and I think as far as my treat goes I may end up having my belly pierced as I've been wanting one for a long time now; it's also cheaper than a tattoo I'm wanting ..another custom job :)
