Spliting S&H OK?

LAST EDITED ON Oct-09-02 AT 01:07PM (Est)[p]Hi Cathe & everyone!

I'm new to posting here, but I've been lurking since June/July. First I have to say THANK YOU to Cathe! I'm a long time video exerciser and VF member, but I was always too scared to try your workouts. Am I ever glad I got up the courage to get MIS - I immediately fell in love with the workout and your style :) To give you an idea of just how addicting your workouts have been for me, I now own PS, PH+,CTX,and S&H, on DVD, along with Power Max, Step Max, Wedding tape, MIC, and Cardio Kicks on VHS (all since the end of July 2002!). Cathe you are the best. Thank you so much! I've seen great results in the last two months with your workouts.

Now, to my S&H question:

With a little one at home, sometimes I'm too tired, or I don't have enough time to do an entire S&H workout. Will I be losing significant gains if I split them (e.g. S&H Legs in the evening, then shoulders the following morning)? Any advice or info from you and all of the educated crowd here would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

Beth

Well, I'm definitely not Cathe, but I just wanted to let you know that I do this ALOT! I usually end up over-sleeping in the morning and can only get in like 1/2 of the S&H workout, so will do exactly as you stated....do one portion in the morning and the next portion later on in the day.

Another way I've heard people work this is that they do work one body part a day so it ends up being a 7-day workout.

Either way, as Cathe puts it, "there's no such thing as wrong with this" (she did say that in one of her tapes, didn't she???)

Just wanted to add my blessing ;-)

I am currently doing the full-body workouts (MIS and PH with an occasional Body Max or Circuit Max thrown in) and I will routinely stop after the shoulder section and save arms for later. I felt I got the best workout on a Saturday when I did legs through shoulders in the morning, then went about my day, then came back and did arms sandwiched in between the warm-up of Cardio Kicks and the rest of the routine.

Thanks for your replies Terri and Kathryn. I kinda knew the answer, but wanted a little reassurance :) Thanks again ladies,

Beth
