split stance

Cathe, when doing the split stance for weight work, where does your body weight go, front or back leg? I find myself using both. Which is better? Does it matter? Kays
 
Hey there,

The split stance is for comfort measures and although your weight should not be focused on one leg or the other but rather distrubuted equally this is not a big deal to be feeling it in one leg more than the other. I would guess that if you are feeling it in your back leg more then you could be using more momentum during the movement than you think. Next time just really focus on not allowing the arms to swing if this still doesn't work step the feet side to side instead of one in front and one in back.
