spider veins=copper deficiency=aneurysm???

I was listening to a radio show today with a "doctor" (mainly into vitamins, minerals, herbs and not an actual MD) who said that white/gray, silver hair and spider/varicose veins are the first signs of a copper def. He said if left untreated, aneuryms could occur. NOW....I do need to mention that his show is based on his line of supplemts called Youngevity. A woman called asking about spider veins and he said the condition is reversable: she just needed to take his line of an ultimate multi-vitamin, a copper supplement, and calcium. I did look online a little and found some stuff about this. I know people have posted here about spider veins so I'm just curious if anyone else has heard this. I have a few small ones but my mother doesn't. I take a good quality liquid multi that has the same amount of copper as HIS mutil does but I don't want to take extra copper. THOUGHTS?????

I bet Cathe doesn't have them ;)

If left untreated, aneurysm could occur.

What a good way to stike fear into us that do have spider viens? Threaten us with aneurysm!!

I am using a product called celutox on my spider viens (Made be an Australian company called Eleusian) and it has helped with the pain and cramping in claves (cramping when i work out) tremendously! Highly highly recommend it! I don't know about copper deficiency. But I certainly don't want to be getting an aneurysm!!!

I'm not brave enough to post a reply/opinion on whether Cathe has them or not. (She is a mortal, like all of us.)

I do think it's interesting that he ALWAYS tells callers which of HIS products to use.

Is the cream you're using a treatment or a cosmetic solution?

It is Pure essential oils. I havn't been a huge fan of essential oils until I found this range - Aureole, made by Eleusian. There is a fantastic one for pain relief and this one the Celutox, is brilliant for fluid retention, and spider viens. (It is supposed to work on cellulite, but I am using it for fluid retention and the viens) Google search Eleusian and you can find out heaps more information. Very high quality. Its worth having a look at!

I am trying to rack my brains from my nursing school days, but I think the vitamin deficiency that is most likely to bring about an aneurysm is Vitamin C. I have also heard that people with a tendency should take a suppliment of vitamin c. I believe vitamin k applied topically is used as a cosmetic solution to minor spider veins. I would not be taking suppliments of copper without first knowing for a fact you are deficient and then being supervised by some sort of practictioner. I always think of that guy that turned himself silver by using over the counter silver colliodal(sp) nasal spray for 20 years, you have to be careful!
