speaking of honey crisp apples

There aren't many orchards around yet which is why they are so expensive. I hear it is hard for the growers to make a profit from them (but have no personal experience to know if it is true). I guess the yield is low, or the cost to produce is high... but man oh man, are they good!

Yep, just got mine at Kroger at a whopping $2.99/lb. 5 apples was almost 5 dollars...yikes! I do try to find the smaller ones so they last longer
They are awesome! I am starting to miss my blueberries, though...the little cartons are $4.00,and I just can't do it. I'll sure miss summer and all the fresh fruits and veggies, but the honeycrisp do help soften the blow a little, I guess...

Yeah!! I finally got to try these!! I kept looking last year after reading about them on this forum but never found them. They are delicious!! Of course, when I went back to get more they were out. I will have to keep checking back. I want more!!!
