Speaking of doctors--embarrassing moment

You know on the recent doctor thread there was some discussion about choosing female doctors.... Well, just this past Friday I went to a new gynecologist, who is a woman. It turned out really well and I liked her, so that was all good.

Then today I walked into church and there was my new gynecologist just a couple rows ahead of me. I saw her after the service and we just sort of did one of those "hi how are you?" things in the crowd. I felt kind of embarrassed to meet my gyno outside of the office. Silly I know since I'm sure she's not going to say anything embarrassing in front of anyone else or anything like that. I just kept thinking about what she knows about me now....

Edited to add: I also kind of embarrassed my husband when I said to him "Hey, I think that's my new gynecologist!" and he shushed me. I said it very quietly, though.

LOL!!! I remember when I was 17 I went to the doctor for a pelvic check due to horrible cramps. I was working at Mc Donalds at the time. Well, guess who came into Mc Donalds soon after I had my exam? Yep, the very doctor that did it. Of course she was professional, but at 17 I was mortified!!! I know better now.

I used to have a male doctor (just a regular family physician) who was very attractive. My sister actually recommended him to me and she adored him, too. I was so distracted by his hunkiness that I had trouble telling him about certain problems (like intestinal issues). I loved going to see him because he was so good-looking and also so sweet, but I figure it's for the best that I don't go to him anymore (I only changed doctors because we moved, though). I never told my husband how hot my doc was, though. ;)

I saw my GYN at the grocery store.

She and I just said hello and that was that!

I love my GYN; she is the best physician of any type that I see!

Yikes! I've never run into one of my doctors before out in public, but can imagine how awkward that must have been! It sounds like she's really nice, though! :)

I've run into my Ob/Gyn (a man) around town a few times, but it never occurred to me to be embarrassed. In fact, the first time it happened it gave me the opportunity to introduce him to my DH, long before I got pregnant and started dragging him to appointments with me.
