I just joined sparkpeople and would like to enter my weight workouts as well as cardio, but do I really have to enter each inidividual exercise and reps:-( :-( That would take all day. Isn't there some shortcut?

Unfortunately, yes, you have to enter them all in. And I found that they really don't offer the ones that I did with Cathe.

I just skipped this part and rely on the website for my calories only. I really like this site since it gives me the actual amount of calories, fat, etc. that I am eating for certain brands, not just generic "bread", "chicken", etc.

I would say to stick with it, even though the exercising section doesn't fit well with Cathe workouts.

Yep, you do have to manually add all of the exercise. I don't bother with that! I like it for figuring out my cals/fat/carb/protein ratios though!

I use SparkPeople and I do enter my exercise. But I enter it into the cardio section and always select Manually Enter Exercise. I put the name of the workout ("Pyramid Lower Body", for example), how long I did it, and how many calories I burned (according to my HRM).

I don't bother with putting exactly what weight work I did. That would take way too long!

There is a way to save a set of weights exercises with a name. So I have a CST, BB, Legs, and Abs set. This works for most of what I do. Once you have created and saved the set, then it's just one click for it to add all those exercises for that day. That's how I use it. I love SparkPeople! The nutrition tracker is my best friend, keeps me honest and accountable.

I also do what April does and enter in my Cathe strength in the cardio section so I can also enter in my calories burned from the reading on my HRM.

I have suggested to spark that they also add in the manual calories burned option in the strength section as well.....but so far, no go.:-(
