Something really stupid happened this morning, just wanted to share

Hey Guys,
Something really stupid happened to me this morning and I just wanted to share it with you all. When I was making my breakfast and pouring my coffee, I always put a scoop of Designer Whey Protein Powder in it. Well, the container it comes in is fairly large (maybe medium size) and when I go into it w/ my tbsp, I always hit this "stump" in it. I always assumed it was just the end o the powder, and haveta buy a new one. Well, this morning, I hit it funny and it moved. So moved my tbsp into it and lifted it up. And guess what it was....

IT WAS THE SCOOP IT COMES WITH!!!!!}( }(. All along I was using a tbsp for a serving and that wasn't even qutie half that serving size! Wow how stupid am I. And how long was I using this powder!!!! Just wanted to share with you:p

Hey, Adri! Don't feel stupid. I think when I bought my first container of protein powder the same thing happened to me! ha ha They bury those things kind of deep sometimes, don't they?

Protein powder in coffee? Hmmmm...that's a new one. How does it taste? Like coffee with cream? Is it vanilla or chocolate? I may have to try this.

Catch ya later,
Sue

Hi Sue,
yea I was about half way though my powder and I FINALLY FOUND THE SCOOP. Why don't they just put them on the top?? Anyway, yea the powder is really good in coffee, plus it gives you 18 extra grams of whey protein depending on the kind you get. I use Desinger Whey French Vanilla powder in mine in the morning, however they also make strawberry cream and frosty chocolate, but in coffee I prefor the French Vanilla. Its yummy:p :p. Just make sure you find the scoop:+

Hope you like it

They actually might put them on top, and they settle during shipping.

Aren't you 14 or 15? What are you drinking coffee for, anyway?;-)

Ha, I thought the same thing, 14 drinking coffee. Wow! That's young. I'm 27 and have never had coffee. Ok wait, I had a sip of my parents once and that was it.

RE: Something really stupid happened this morning, just...

I can't think of a State in the US were coffee is illegal for a teenager, and there are drinks that have almost as much caffeine as coffee. (Red Bull)(Ice Tea)

Give the young lady a break.......

RE: Something really stupid happened this morning, just...

I was also figuring rodent of some sort.

I have used vanilla in my coffee too - works well especially when I am not too hungry in the AM and just eat a piece of fruit.

Did you notice the scoop in your laundry soap is hidden too? JK }(

RE: Something really stupid happened this morning, just...

I don't think anybody was insinuating that coffee was illegal for a young person to drink. LOL!!
The idea is that caffeine is not good for someone still so young.

I wasn't allowed to drink caffeine until I was older, and I held to the same thing with my son. I just don't see any benefit of letting someone still in their formative years having caffeine.

>Ice tea has as much caffeine as coffee?

No, tea has less caffeine than coffee, and green tea even less (white tea less than that).

RE: Something really stupid happened this morning, just...

I have no problem with the coffee, and I don't mean to be rude, but am I the only one bothered by a 14 year old with a screen name of "sekcy?" (sexy? that should not be the point at 14 - how about strong or smart or sassy?)

Okay...I couldn't help but post.

I would rather her be here in this place which is safe than elsewhere on the net chatting with a bunch of predators. I am glad that she has an interest in fitness which is actually GOOD for her. I pray that she continues this interest through her life and remains focused on what is important. IMHO. Leave it alone; we are not her mothers.

The info posted RE: caffeine is like the info in the link I posted. :)

I still love tea, esp green tea! My favorite indulgence is chai - yummy! I never did like the flavor of coffee - in the drink or in anything coffee-flavored.

Now, time to check out and go practice my pikes on the ball!

Anyway, I was glad to find out I'm not the only one to ransack every drawer in the kitchen to find a proper scoop, only to find one in the very same product I was scooping.

Adri,

I thought for sure you were going to say a bug of some kind! EWWWWW! Glad it was the scooper instead. LOL:+

Hey, I just wanted to tell you how much I apprcieate you. You have answered many of my posts, and it is a joy to here from you. You are learning leaps and bonds about fitness and exercise, and even attempting rotations that by gosh work! You are fabulous. Don't let some of these answers that you are recieving intimidate you. You give great advice and you also listen to others and learn by them too. You are one terrific person. Some people don't realize that sometimes we older folks can learn a thing or two from younger folks like you. You are like a breath of fresh air, and needed on these forums.

Chocolate bars, pop...all have lots of caffeine in them as well, enjoy your coffee, perhaps in moderation. It's not going to stunt your growth or make your knees turn brown. As I was told at your age. But do realize it is addicting, but then again so is chocolate bars and pop.

I'm going to summon you up on the rotation forum and ask you for a rotation. I hope you can help me.

Janie
