Something I've wondered about for awhile...

Because my work schedule is so... nuts I want to create my own rotations with my primary emphasis being a 3-day heavy weight split (for example: GSCT/GSL/GSBSB) with cardio on the days between. Because each muscle group is supposed to be rested after being worked with heavy weights... can I use circuit (light weight) routines on these "rest" days? I know you're not supposed to use any weight at all but...

Anyone know?

I wouldn't, since it will cut into recovery, which is important for muscle growth and repair, but if you use VERY light weights (like 3-5# dumbbells) and use them primarily as a booster for cardio, I don't think it would hurt. (of course, if you have to use such light weights, why use them at all: why not just do a cardio workout?).

You could incorporate a circuit workout with a GS rotation, something like this:
Day 1: GS upper body 1
Day 2: cardio
Day 3: GS lower body
Day 4: GS upper body 2
Day 5: cardio
Day 6: circuit
Day 7: off
