Somebody stop me!

Honestly, I can't talk you out of the purse because I did the same thing last weekend :). DH and I have been spending all of our money on our house (and of course I have bought some workouts) but generally we haven't bought anything for ourselves. I had been drooling over a Coach purse (sorry Allison :)) for about a year and I went and bought it last weekend. I love it and everyone has said something about it this week. It was nice to spend some money on myself and not to start another project in the house.

You just have to treat yourself every once in awhile. I do very little shopping for myself, but when I come across something that starts to dominate my every waking thought, then I know I need to just buy it -- lol! But really -- and for me it's often an antique something something.;)

You know it's funny, before I bought this house I used to get new shoes, purses, trips to Sephora, etc. at least once a month. But SINCE I bought the house I've not been to the mall once, have bought one new pair of shoes (& they were LifeStrides, cost me $41!) & haven't bought a stitch of new clothing. In fact, I even returned the Nike Bollos I ordered so I could pay for the attic ladder.

And yes, the handbag is speaking to me. Must have it. Plus I've been having a horrendous time at work & need a little boost.

Yes, I think I will treat myself. Thanks guys. :) :) :) :)
 
Personally I'd get the hand bag over decorating the guest room any day of the week. The hand bag will be a part of the image that you present to the world and will help make positive first impressions. Who is going to see or care about your guest room?

$800?????? You could buy a couple purses and a whole new work wardrobe for that. Gosh, don't do it. Get a knock off instead.

Allison - $795.00 - but who's counting? Personally I love the purse. If Laura can afford it, why not? A knock off is never quite the same. And she'll use it for years. I have a Coach that I have literally had for 10 years and it still looks good and is stylish.
 
The only reason I say that is because Laura said her clothes were fraying and I know I hate when my clothes are in bad shape and $795 can buy a decent amount of clothes.
 
Oh darn! I cannot believe I missed this thread!:) My favorite things in the world are good handbags and shoes. I have spent way too much money on them, but will have them forever!:)

You go Laura, I love your new handbag, and yes, you deserve it!:7 You know what they say, if your handbag and shoes are good quality, you can get away with cheaper clothes (get a tailor to make sure they fit though!)
