You've gotten lots of good advice, here's my .02...I try to keep track of calories eaten during the day, and "save" 200-300 for a snack after dinner...any snack, ice cream, a couple of cookies, half a donut, a glass of wine and a little cheese, whatever, as long as you stay within the calorie range (I aim for approx. 2000 per day). I know, I know, easier said than done , but for me at least, knowing that come evening I could have a little of whatever I felt like having really helped. The key is stopping at one serving, but it keeps certain foods from becoming so "forbidden". Good luck!
