Somebody convince me to actually do the Kick Punch Crunch

I'm watching Kick Punch Crunch right now and I'm scared to do this workout.
Someone please tell me what are the benefits of this workout and if you like it, why?

Watch the warm up and you won't need convincing! :)

This workout is fun, has great music, is tough, has separate segments (meaning that you don't go through the whole thing again all together at the very end several times). I really enjoy it!

The premixes are great too!

It is intense but don't worry it is doable. I love lot of things of this workout: the music is very motivating, I love the punching and kicking combinations and the cardio makes you sweat. Cathe is very friendly as usual and she smiles everytime. You can see she is enjoying and sweating with you. There are agreat abs exercises in this workouts too . Hope this helps.

RE: Somebody convince me to actually do the Kick Punch ...

OH! Try not to be intimidated!!! Maybe start out small. Just do a few of the drill sections and either pair that with another video you feel more comfortable with, or just do that for the day. Keep adding on sections. You may have to modify at first, but that's what is so great - you'll be able to measure your progress by how much more you can do over time! It is hands down, one of my favorites.

It feels so great to kick and punch - I feel fantastic when I'm done!:D

Don't focus on what you can't do, focus on what you CAN. Then keep adding to what you CAN do, and you'll feel so much better!! :)

I can't convince you b/c I haven't done it yet (just got it last week, still waiting for the tree to get the heck out of the way).

But I'll make a date w/you--I'll do it for the first time on Monday morning, January 10th if you'd like to do it w/me. :)

Breck girl has the best advice, just do what you can. Then add in as you feel more comfortable. It's a very fun workout!

You know, I really didn't answer your question... why I like it? It's intense, and I feel like I'm not wasting my time (of course, I don't ever feel like I'm wasting time with Cathe). She is incredibly motivating in this one! (I can hear her... "chiseling the arms, chiseling the core!") I feel so alive when I'm finished, and it's an especially great workout for a stressful day! Your punches and kicks have more power!}(

Results are hard to pinpoint for me, since I do so many other things - it's hard to attribute gains to any one particular item. But I can tell you, that I am "better" at this than I used to be. The more I do it, the better I get. I feel "cheated" if I can't get it in each week!:D

Well, I don't know if you convinced WBS, but you've sure convinced me! Now I can't wait to try it!

OOOH goodie! Another convert. }( Let me know how it goes!!! I will be looking forward to your report! I CANNOT imagine you'll be disappointed.

It is really not as bad as it looks. It is tough but fun. That makes all the difference in the world. Cathe mkes the moves fun to do. She never does too much of one thing.

So go for it! What are you waiting for...okay here goes the final word...."what are you chicken..I dare you..."

Now take my dare and have a blast! :) Renee

OMG!!! Just listening to the music gets me amped!!! I remember the first time I tried to preview it, it definitely did not take long before I decided to rewind it and start doing it!

I love this workout because it's just so much fun! (well, except for those "hammer into the floor" things....) And I usually feel it the next day in my lats and definitely my core.

:D

Well, other than it being a really good workout, it's fun. There's nothing to fear. If it gets to be too much at any point, pause and take a break. This is the workout that I have the most trouble with, but I still do it.

Breckgirl's tagline "jab-cross-hook-upper-pop-pop-duck" is worth the whole workout. It's SO much fun.

In my mind, I always chage it to "jab-cross-hook-upper-pop-pop-BUTT," to remind myself to sit back into the squat.:)

You know, you guys may not have convinced WannaBeStrong to do the workout, but now I have a hankering to do it (or maybe even Cardio Kicks, for a change!)

Kathryn... that is BRILLIANT. Now I will always remember... jab-cross-hook-upper-pop-pop-BUTT!!!!! LOL!!!!!!:7 (she ponders changing her tagline)

I love this workout. It's my favorite of the Body Blasts and my favorite of her kickboxing workouts. It has a lot of variety, it's intense, but you can modify while you're learning. It only took me 3 times, as I recall, to get the moves well enough to follow the workout. The abs are great. Not as many pikes as in PUB, great stretch. But the workout itself just flies by. I feel good when I do it, and my whole body feels worked out, not just my legs. You'd really be missing out if you own this one and don't use it!

I love this workout!! It's such a nice change. You want something motivating and you want something different than step, otherwise you would've done step so it fits the bill perfectly. It does take a few times doing it to get all the steps down but its the type of workout that you really want to do again so you can get all the steps down. The music is great and those three look great together!! Sp give it a shot you won't be disappointed.

I just did this one this morning, and it is one of my absolute favorites!! There is such a variety, the intensity varies, and if you have the DVD, you can try one of the shorter premixes if you are a bit intimidated! Plus, some (like me who has to drag everything out from upstairs and bring it down every day) find it a plus that there is no equipment! :7

Thank you everyone! Maximus.....you're on! Actually, I did try to do a bit of the workout and didn't get through much at all (uh, and felt like a very uncoordinated fool). The music is great! I appreciate everyone's input.

Don't be afraid!!! This is an incredible workout and every time you do it you'll get better! In fact, I have it scheduled for tomorrow! :) :)

I think I also didn't feel comfortable the first time I did this one. So it stayed put away for a long time. I tried it again & used some weighted gloves & I absolutely love this WO. It's tough!!! but time flies.:7
