Some new workouts for me....

I just got my first two Essentrics workouts as well as 2 Tracy Mallett's FIT and her Pilates Sculpt (think that's the name). I'm on a quest for debulking muscular quads and working on flexibility. I have tried TA but don't care for her style and I get bored with yoga. Hope these help! Anyone with any experience with these??

Hey Stacy, not with Tracy Mallett besides what's on Youtube, although I do Essentrics from time to time. I am still rather new to it, however. I really like it for releasing and stabilizing my hips as well as working the smaller/stabilizing muscles. I like her method with traditional side leg series from Pilates. The way she goes about it does not scrunch up my psoas as much. :) Best of luck with your training goals! I find I need quite a bit of flexibility in my regimens & I can never seem to fit as much of it in as I would really like.

Hi Stacy,
Could you please post a link to the Essentrics workouts if that is possible ?

Hi Elsie,
You got my attention when you mentioned releasing and stabilizing the hips etc. could use some help there too :)

Thanks Ladies
Brigitte :)

Hi Stacy! I don't have essentrics but I recently got Tracey Malletts FIT. I loved it and fell in love with her too. On screen she's very sweet, decent cueing, energetic. FIT is advanced and is circuit style. I was a sweaty mess. It was a really great wkout. I liked her style so much I got a few more of hers. Her barre work is no joke. Quivering legs!! I'm curious about more stretching and flexibility so I hope others chime in.

Peg:

which of Tracey's other workouts do you recommend?

Clare

Hi Clare! Well I got Booty Barre Total New Body, Booty Barre Arms and Abs and her 4 dvd set Quick Blast method. I haven't gotten through them all yet. The Total New Body has segments on it that I added to the end oF my daily workout. I like to do the lower body segments. The moves are tiny but good grief they make you quiver. Even with that said I didn't have terrible DOMS but I certainly knew I worked. It's also VERY different from what I'm used to because I'm trying to do different things and use my tower. The Quick Blast Method has 4 wkouts and 2 have a bit of cardio effect but nothing like Cathes cardio. I found them to be easy but again, some of the toning was challenging.

So I don't really have a specific recommendation as I'm still becoming familiar with them. It also depends on what you're looking for. If it's toning, her Booty Barre wkouts are very nice. She seems to like the high rep approach. It burns!
They are ballet and Pilates inspired type of moves so you really have to watch form. People have said it bothered their knees. Luckily this hasn't happened to me yet. I would just like to get through a wkout without stopping early. It has shown me how weak some parts of me are! Her ab work is also very nice. Appears easy but it's not! Let us know what you get! I'm thinking of getting her Bikini Body wkouts, she has 2. They have more cardio in them. Good luck! I've enjoyed what I've done so far.
