So who's waiting to start STS

I have STS in my hands and I don't even know when I will start. I know, blasphemy :eek::eek: They look great and I am sure I will love them, but I just am not ready to start yet. It feels strange to get a new Cathe and not try it out right away.
 
I've posted this elsewhere, but DH and I planned to start together, and he broke his rib two weeks ago. So we have at least 4 weeks to wait until we can start (and he had been planning to start his 1RM tests the day he broke it, so he still has to do them. I'm not done doing 1RMs yet either.)

I am eager to start, but I can wait. There's no rush...it will still be there in a month. (At least that's what I keep telling myself!;))
 
Catherine, I'm not starting the full program until probably the last week in February/beginning of March since I'm having minor surgery next week. That being said I just got STS last night and decided to preview some of the workouts. Well, previewing turned into me doing disk 1, plyo legs and one ab routine :p (all were GREAT BTW) I guess I just couldn't help but try it out. Now if I can just hold off for a couple more weeks to start :eek:
 
All I can tell you is make sure you have a drink handy for when you go to get the discs out of the case! I think I read that you are going to get a different case for storing them? I had one waiting for STS and last night, had the task of getting those discs out! Some were easy, some were not! They all came out, thankfully, but it stressed me out! I kept thinking - what if I break one?? One did scratch on the top - some of the ink came off and I don't even have nails. That said, to your original question, I am planning on starting Monday. I am not ready to just dive right in b/c they are here. I was going to wait longer but the 1RMs are going much faster and are sort of fun so I should be ready, and I am looking forward to the routine/lack of thought in choosing workouts for 3 1/2 months :)
 
Shana, I know what you mean about getting the disks out:confused: I will be buying something, not sure what to store my dvd's.

Jodi, sorry to hear about you DH. You are right they will still be there in a month.
 
I'm waiting till the end of the month. I'm going to be out of town for a few days so I'll have to put it off until after I get back. And I haven't even started with the 1RMs yet.
 
I'm waiting until an perhaps the beginning of March. I've been unusually inconsistent with my workouts, and I don't feel "on top of my game" enough to start. Not to mention, I've done a total of ZERO one-rep-max tests. Add that to unusual stress at work, and I'm certain it won't be before March.
 
I'm doing Chalean Extreme for about another 7 weeks, and then I'll start. I am in no hurry, I know STS is going to put a hurtin' on me. :eek:
 
I just started the 1RM test this week. I had to wait to retest after I recovered from a surgery. Then by the time I recovered and was allowed to go back to heavy lifting, STS arrived so I figured I would just previre the videos and do the test. I am savoring the excitement and just taking my time with it for now. I will start the workout after I get done the 1 RMs.
 
I'm thrilled to have them in my hands at last! However, I was not one of those chomping at the bits to get them because I knew I would have to clear the decks at home/work/school etc. in order to give the STS program my all.

That said, I don't have a definite start date. I am still previewing, still need to do the 1RM tests, may need to buy additional weights after that. In the meantime, I've previewed Abs Circuits and will begin incorporating the routines into my workouts this week, just to begin to get a little bit of that STS vibe going!:cool:
 
I am starting March 9th. I decided to wait until after my marathon...:)

I have been doing my 1RM's though and this program looks AWESOME!!! I have done some of the Ab Circuits and really like the new exercises and even...yes...the planks!!
 
I'm thinking I'll start in the first week of March, too. I'm excited to preview, but I knew I wanted to take my time and do my 1 rep max tests over the course of a week or so, while I was previewing, and I just got my STS on Tuesday. Plus, I've been off my game with working out lately, so I need to rededicate and get back into my routine to be ready for the STS challenge!
 
It's likely I won't start until July. That's when DH and I are moving back to the States. On Tuesday, I'll be 7 months preggo (due 5 May) and so far, I've been able to do everything with my workouts that I've wanted. I changed my workouts to endurance rather than strength once I found out I was pregnant. I'll just wait to recover from the birth and then start fresh in July.
 
I'm doing CLX right now, and have pencilled in STS for the beginning of May.

I have done the stretch (and will probably never again: I have others that I like much better, though I do like that variation of the hip stretch she does), and I plan to use some of the ab workouts as well, so I'll get a bit of Cathe while working out primarily with Chalene. Now, if Cathe had come out with that MMA series, I'd love to alternate that with CLX weight workouts).
 
I'm not starting until the end of the month or beginning of March. DH and I are doing it together and we still have to finish our 1RMs and rearrange our weight room so we both have room to workout at the same time. Plus, I have to get a few more items for him, like his own stability ball- just housekeeping matters. I kind of like looking forward to it- sort of similiar to a vacation, where half the fun is looking forward to going. :)
 
I just ordered and am excited to get them. Now the waiting. Not sure when I will start but I will start my 1RM and see how that goes. I am getting back into heavier lifting as I think that is best for me.

I would like to start when Cathe does (Feb 16) but we will see. I may give myself til March to start. Too bad Cathe doesn't start at the beginning of March, just so it gives people time to get prepared. Oh well, can't have everything.

I have tried the 1st disc's at the gym and I've decided to wait until my son ships off for basic training then end of Feb. so I can turn his room into my gym.

I think I'll like STS better if I do it at home and just do the leg work at the gym.
 
I'm waiting until Feb 22. I have a marathon on Feb. 15 so I don't want to get worn out starting those now. The week after the marathon, I plan to take it easy and do lighter workouts so I think the 22nd will work for me. I'm hoping we find out when Cathe will start by then and if it's not too far off, I may even wait for her. (She hasn't announced when she'll start yet, has she?)
