So what do you guys think Low Max will be like?

Maximus

I can't wait to get the two new all-cardio tapes! I'm afraid Low Max won't be intense enough for me though. That might be a silly fear since all of Cathe's stuff is pretty difficult, but still.........hate to spend money on something I'll never use............anyone have any sense of how tough the low impact workout will be?

She put some really good low impact moves in KPC. If Lo Max uses these types of moves, it should offer a great intensity level. Of course, with lo impact moves in particular, you will only "get out of it what you put into it!" I think it is going to be great to premix with IMAX3 and KickMax!!

For me, low impact, high intensity moves are often more difficult than high impact, high intensity moves so I've been curious about this one. In her "Low Max - First Pictures" post, Cathe said it was impossible to make a low-impact workout as intense as a high-impact workout but that the moves will still be challenging. I hope so! If not, varying intensity can be a good thing, as long as the intensity isn't too low.

I think it may be similar to Rythmic Step(choreography) without the hops. I may be wrong, but I see a lot of mambos, cha chas etc in the pix. I do think she will use a lot of larger range of muscle moves for intensity though. I think it will be a lot of fun regardless. Just my opinions though!!

I have to admit that when I read this my heart kind of sunk, but just for a second. I know that Cathe will deliver as promised. Being a long levered girl, I find some low impact moves quite challenging, I love the squats and lunges in routines like RS and MIC and would love more of this type of choreography. I'm looking forward to all of the Hardcore workouts but especially the cardio}(

I agree that it looks like a real low key version of Rhythmic Step and yes, my heart sunk too. Looking at the pictures of the workouts, sure the ladies look lovely, but unlike the pics of the other new workouts, I can't see a bead of sweat on their lovely bodies. So, I can't really think that this tape will be that challenging and I'd rather do Rhythmic Step original! Bottom line: I would never have gotten it if it weren't part of the original, pre-order, heavily discounted package.

Come on, guys...You can always use Low Max on your "rest day". If I see that it's not so intense, I'll use it on my rest days, along with Stretch Max.

Chiquita,

That's what I'm saying! It will be nice to have something not so intense to rotate in - and using it before Stretch Max to get your muscles warmed up would be a great way to increase flexibility!

I agree

We all have our "OFF" days when a "little" workout is better than "none"
And what about the "newbees", perfect for a "start" introduction to Cathe, or even someone returning to Cathe after a long absence from exercise!.

Im sure there will be a market for this type of workout too

Hay, you could even give this workout - if its not your cup of tea - and your feeling generous, to someone as a "gift" for Christmas

Just a thought!

:)

I noticed that they are all using two risers on this tape. That alone will up the intensity....... at least for me. !:p

Good heavens, what are you all talking about?? This is an interval workout! At least, that's what they say in their description:

"This tough low impact workout was inspired by our Imax’s. Think Imax 2, but instead of high impact interval bursts, you will now do super-intense low impact bursts. Again, while there may be times where floor aerobics are incorporated into the workout, the step is the main focus of this low impact program."

This isn't "Rhythmic Step Lite", unless they radically changed their minds!

Cheers,
Sandra

See, I'm worried about the same thing. I'm only ordering the two new cardio workouts, & I'm concerned about the comment re. low impact/less intensity. Maybe I'll wait for everyone's reviews before I put out the money. :)

I'm really looking forward to it, especially because I'll be prego and big at that time they may come out and can really only do low impact stuff. I'm so excitied for this new DVD, I think it'll be perfect to fit into a rotation with higher impacts once I'm no longer prego to give my joints a rest.

This will be perfect for me as I have not mastered her advanced moves as yet. Besides, I know I will love it regardless of its intensity, just b/c it's Cathe}( .

I would bet that if a person really wanted to, they could "up the intensity" by adding power and high impact moves. Then....if you needed a lower intensity day, you would have it, then if you were feeling your usual, energetic self, just up the intensity! Two workouts in one!

Frankly, I think Cathe is going to kick our booties with this one. I am prone to not let these pics fool me, when Cathe promised Hardcore, I think she is going to deliver. I am picturing myself after doing this one thinking " I can't believe she could make a low impact workout this intense!"

If this was going to be a "light" day tape, I think she would have made another beginner-intermediate vid. JMO..
