I think we should all converge en masse and have a huge Catheite party/club opening celebration, and some kind of ancient rite to pay homage to our fearless leader.

In all seriousness, would anyone else be up for doing this? I know those who live fairly close would go, but how about those who are a bit further away? Or a lot further away? I'd love to meet lots of you in person and this seems a fitting (hahahahahahaha - get it?) way to do it.

I'm 2.5 hours away here in NY (westchester area) but dang if I wouldn't drop everything and run. I'd just have to figure out how to manage my 1 year old, or go on a weekend when hubby is around. Keep me updated!!

GAWD, I would love to go to Cathe's club! I'm pretty far away - too far to drive (at least too far for me - I am not a big fan of long car trips). So $$$ is an issue if I have to buy a plane ticket. But if the fares are reasonable, I could make it work.

Do we know when the club is supposed to open, exactly?

When would we like to take this pilgrimage? I would like to call it the Plie Pilgrimage. :)
 
I would love to too but I am in Illinois like Emily and would have to fly. Otherwise I would be driving and driving and driving!

There's been discussion of a road trip for quite a while. I have a feeling that maybe there will be one in the fall :7
 
Not to put a damper on the spirit this is intended but I have to tell you that I don't think Cathe would appreciate it. She likes to have some warning

And she is planning on doing something once things get settled in at the new club. Give her time & she'll do what she's been promising!
 
Yep. I'd fly up there from TX in a heartbeat. Count me in whenever the road trip happens.

Since I don't get to check the forums as often as I would like -- can one of you regulars holla at me if this topic comes up? Especially if there are a limited number of people allowed to come.

Of course we wouldn't show up unannounced. Cathe would be in-the-loop for sure.

And don't worry. You'd be hard-pressed to find a way to dampen my spirits. I carry an umbrella at all times.

I remember the questions about a Cathe Camp or a road trip. I am probably about 4 hours away, and would love to spend a weekend working out with Cathe and her devoted fans. Especially after hearing about the wonderful Texas trip! Someone please make this happen!

I am about an hour away from Cathe's new club and am thinking of going up one weekend a month using a day pass. Has anyone here taken any of Cathe's step classes? If so, what is it like live? Are the routines similar to her DVD workouts or does she change up the choreography a lot.

Im about 4-4 1/2 hours away also. I go to the city shopping all the time so I figured id pop in then but itd be way cooler if a bunch of us went. Id be up for it anytime - just say the word

I want to come, too! I've been waiting for the Cathe trip! Maybe all the Texas girls can meet up again and fly together!

Shonie, I'll send you an email if/when anything official is announced! I'm usually here (at least lurking) on a daily basis.
 
I actually have a list that's been building for months. I emailed Cathe about 2 months ago letting her know that there is a large number of us who would like to visit & take some classes w/her, basically asked her to assign a staff member to help coordinate class schedules, accommodations, etc. She asked me to please wait until the new club opened.

So, the answer to your question is absolutely. I'm about 2 hours from Glassboro & I have family in the area, so I'm a definite yes.

I would love to join you ladies but I have feeling it could be kinda hard for me to get away...unless I bring the baby and someone will babysit for me while I take a class. ;) (kidding!)
