Snow Shoveling

Have you ever considered making a snow shoveling workout? (Hubby is out snow plowing and I feel bad if he has to come home and shovel after being out all night) Works arms and lats (at least on the shoveling side), cardio, and core/balance as you try to shovel and not slip and fall on your butt. All you need is a shovel and about 4 inches of heavy, wet snow. That was my morning workout today. Then you have the build-a-snowman move. Works arms, back, knees, legs and engineering skills.

Do you and your boys like playing out in the snow together? Funny thing is, its just like being a kid again. As long as you're out playing in the snow, you don't get cold. The cold doesn't hit til you're back inside and start to defrost. But, that's what they make big steamy cups of hot chocolate for!!!

Hi Nan....Yes, shoveling is an EXCELLENT workout. I have new snowsuits and boots all ready for our first big snowfall. So far I am still waiting for the snow....sigh. Glad you are having fun out there playing with all that white fluffy stuff. You don't need kids to act like a kid :7 :7 :7
