Fidget Queen

Ok, so I don't mind snow days. At all. I love being home and cozy when there's a blizzard outside. Except it would be nice if somebody had told me...
We have known for 5 days that today the sky would open up and drop snow for at least 24 straight hours. The forecast was 100% right on, almost down to the minute the snow would begin last evening. So the university I go to does nothing. I check the website all night and all morning until the moment I leave to make sure the university is still open. I can't miss any classes unless the teacher or university decides there is no class. So, I wade through a foot of snow to get to my bus stop and wait for 25 minutes. Then I get to school. Walk 20 minutes across campus to find out that my first class is cancelled. No e-mail. No notification. Just no teacher and a post start time e-mail! Fine, so I have another class an hour later (3 1/2 hours long). I waddle through the piles of snow for another 30 minutes (WAY on the other side of campus (a very pleasant walk when the weather is good )) to hear that the campus is closing down. I had two other appointments this afternoon/evening; one I cancelled and the other the business cancelled AHEAD OF TIME (imagine that) because of the weather. All good. But because I thought we would have school all day and that it would be early enough, I scheduled another one right after my last class ended (ok, so this little tidbit of stupidity is entirely my own!). So now, the university is closing down in a few minutes and I have nowhere to go!!!
I could have had a very productive (and dry) day at home, but instead, I'm running around in the wet and cold (while fighting off an illness) for NOTHING. Absolutely nothing. So now I'm miserable and will have accomplished nothing. And after another walk to the doctor (unless they cancel, which would be fine at this point) and another wait and walk to and from the bus, I'll finally be home around 6:00.
Ok, compared to other world problems, it's no big thing at all, but a little brains would be nice! I think I was already in a hideous mood this morning, and I wanted nothing more than to sleep in and stay in my sweats!
