SNM: suggestion on how we can help figure out freezing problem

I suggest that you start two threads here: one asking people to post brand names and model numbers of DVD players that have had freezing problems, and one asking people to post names and model numbers of players not having freezing issues.

That way, you have these statistics in an easier-to-sort-out form (rather than just having one thread where people post whether their player encounters freezing problems or not, for example, and you having to go through and sort through those who do and those who don't).

Having as much info on this problem as possible might make finding what the problem is a faster task.

I agree.

I pre-ordered Sept/06 so it may be a few weeks for me. If this problem is related to dvd players, I do not anticipate any problems. I purchased a new Sony dvd player a month ago.
