SNM: How to store tower?

NY25

Cathlete
Hello, SNM. How does the Tower store? Does it break down flat to slide under a bed, for example? Please advise. Thank you!!

STS Tower

First, let me say that our test show most people can assemble the Tower in about 3 to 5 minutes after taking it out of the box. There are different ways to disassemble the Tower that are even faster than 3 to 5 minutes.

I think most people will just remove the vertical posts from the unit. This is done by removing 4 spring clips that you see towards the bottom of the Tower (no tools are needed). This will only take about 30 seconds and then you just pull the vertical posts from the base. You will then have two units, the base and the vertical posts that you can then easily store in a closet. The only problem with this method of disassembly is that the base has a maximum height of about 10 inches. If you want to slide the base under a bed this may be too high. If this is the case you will need to remove 4 hex nuts with the tools we provide to remove the connecting metal straps. This should take less than 1 minute. Then the unit will fit under any bed.

There are other ways to disassemble the Tower Unit, but for now to avoid confusion we will save that for another time.

From reading SNM's post on taking Tower apart, I think it will be
"a piece of cake" :D I have a garment rack that I use to dry clothes
before putting away and I think it comes apart somewhat like the tower
will. I lift the top part (which looks like a big staple shape) off the base
part and then either put that piece along with the base part which is the
two uprights with the metal pieces between in the closet or take the
two metal pieces off the upright base pieces and then put away like that.
It's a piece of cake so to speak, very very easy and takes less than
a minute to do. Of course, the tower is alot more stable and of course
heavier than my clothes rack, but if it's works basically the same, it's no
problem at all. SNM- if you read this, can you let me know if I'm on the
right track? Thanks, and can't wait.......hurry up 3 months or so !!!!!
This will be a nice toy to use while then waiting on the new cardio series !!!!
