SNAZZZZZZZY Ladies Check In...week of 03/20!

Fit_mommy

Cathlete
Morning Ladies and Happy Spring! :D

Just gettin' us started for the week.

Gayle:: Well okay, I guess it makes sense to fill the "gaps" with other distances BEFORE you go for the 100! I'll allow it. ;):p:D LOL

Time to work out some of this crazy killer DOMS from Disc 14 now!

I'll be back!~

The show opened on Friday. Yea!
I'm starting Meso 2 all over today with Hiit for cardio. I just couldn't do it with the long days last week. I had done disk 13, 14 & 15 but then had to take a week off.

Colleen, how has it been since the show opened????

Wendy, how was the weather by YOU today? I couldn't believe it when I opened the curtains and saw SNOW and SLEET!!!!!!!!!

Speaking of filling in the gaps, I just found myself a duathlon in May, the weekend before my marathon. :D lol It's a 5K run, 14 mile ride, 5K run. I'm in. I'm scheduled for a taper of 8 miles that day (a Sat) and the marathon is the following Sunday so guess what....I'm in! YAY! Consider it a taper cross-training session before the REAL taper week.

This morning for me was an easy 2 mile jog followed by Leaner Legs...that gets me everytime and I LOVE that workout. An oldie but goodie for sure!

2 for tuesday!!!

Checking in with IMAX 2(which is my favorite) I only did it till interval 8,then just ran out of gas,but I did the 300 lunges.

I discovered 2 more Cathe dvds that I need. CXT and Cardio kicks.

Colleen,Im sorry what show were you taking about?

Hi Wendy and Gayle:D

Terina, CTX and Cardio Kicks are AWESOME! Of ALL of Cathe's kickboxing, I love Cardio Kicks the most, believe it or not. (MMA: Boxing is a very close second.) CTX is great even if you just use parts of it.....Leaner Legs is a quick but WAY effective lower body workout, the All Abs segment is awesome and the separate upper body segments on each of the others are cool too. Have I convinced you yet? :D

As soon as the kiddos get out the door, I'll be hitting upper body with a bit of everything. LOL Not exactly sure what I'll do, but I know it will involve push ups, dips, pull ups and Cathe.

Colleen:: I started Meso 2 over the weekend and I love it! Enjoy! Glad your show finally opened. So now is this the "fun" part? :D

Gayle:: Nothing but rain by me y'day but there was some snow coming down when I got to work. Nothing on the roads though. Tomorrow they are calling for a couple inches of accumulation on grassy areas and such. I KNEW the snow wasn't over with yet. BLECH!

Terina:: IMAX2 is tentitively on my schedule for tmrw! Great minds think alike! ;) I have CTX and Cardio Kicks. CTX is extremely versatile and LL is an azz kicker for sure! Cardio Kicks is long and tough but fun! It's tougher then KPC and KM imo b/c it keeps the heart rate higher for longer periods of time then those 2 do. Atleast for me anyway. :)

WENDY!!!!!!!!!! THE SNOW IS COMING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We're forecasted for 4-8" starting tonight and continuing THRU TOMORROW INTO THURSDAY!!!!!!! :D How crazy is that???

Ok, so this morning's workout looked like this:

  • w/u from GS Chest/Tris
  • I did a push up/tricep dip circuit using the push up segments of GS Chest/Tris....I did the 16 push ups, chaptered back and redid that 16 segment with dips; did the chapter for 14 push ups, backed up and redid that with 14 dips; and so on all the way down the drop set
  • Then used that same technique doing shoulder presses and 2-arm lat pulls; again, all those drop sets.
  • GS Biceps (all of it as produced)
  • abs from Leaner Legs (ouchy)
  • STS Extended Stretch
What fun that was.......just playing around with different things. Try that circuit thing with the GS push ups and tri dips...OUCH!

Sorry, no personals from me tonight. Busy with kids and baseball.

YAY!!!! I did buy those dvds :) I have leaner legs on my schedule for this week i'm hoping it will come in on time :) And here I thought I have all of her dvds...The only ones I don't have are POWER HOUR,and all her compilations and STS. :)
i'll be back in a while to check in.

Unscheduled rest day for me today...

Overslept + feeling like I am coming down with something + having to break down tower in order to do a very short work out = eff it. :p

Wendy, wise choice, my dear. Get some rest tonight, sleep well, and hopefully whatever the ickyness is will be gone when you wake up!

Terina, I'd be interested in trying out the bars and protein powders. Thanks for offering. I'll pay shipping.

This morning's workout....was supposed to be a mile repeat run, but my hammies and glutes are still sore so I've put that run off till tomorrow. Instead, I did LIC Cardio Blast premix...one of my faves. DOMS in my ABS, baby, which rarely happens. Stadium stairs got postponed due to this icky weather!

Gotta scoot...finishing laundry.

wednesday =)

Gayle- don't worry about the shipping, thank you for trying the samples. You can either PM here or message me on FB with you're address. :D Stadium stairs sounds brutal but great for the legs.

Wendy- I agree with Gayle, get some rest and take it easy :D

Checking in with butt and guts and 30/30 and do I dare say 30/30 is the easiest of the 3 of the Hiit workouts =0. I pushed myself with B&G and I didn't really think i would have the energy to do the 2nd workout but I did!!!

Morning Ladies.

Today's w/o was Ab Circuits: Stability Ball Abs, HiiT: 40/20 and the standing oblique work in Cross Cross Cardio.

Gayle:: We got a mix of snow, rain, hail, sleet, slush, muck and yuck! LOL No accumulation but cold, unhappy weather that I DO NOT LIKE! :p We even had thunder and lightening last night! Nice work out you post the other day! Very creative! :)

Terina:: Yes, 30/30 is definitely the easier of the 3 HiiT's! Even Cathe says that. I shamefully admit to gravitating towards that one the most for that reason. Today though I got nervey and did 40/20 and my lungs almost came out of mouth a few times!:D

BBL~

Checking in with PU and BBW, my ams were shaking today. We don't have the GB's today so workinout was a blast bcuz I could choose when to workout. =)

Looking at the next 2 weeks of the rotation and it looks a real challenging.

Wendy, wow you're weather sounds crazy!!!! you need to come to HI to visit.:D

Work out this morning was 50 m of k/b spit up between Absolute K/B and Strike Zone K/B. Ended with a 3m prone plank. :)

Still feeling like I am coming down with something on and off. Felt okay y'day afternoon through y'day night but woke up a couple hours after going to bed feeling like I might have a fever (chills/body aches). Went back to bed. Felt better but still a little yucky this morning but figured, what the heck, and decided to work out anyway and see what happened. Well, I am feeling ok yet y'day when I felt okay BEFORE my work out I ended up feeling like crap after. Go figure!

I was telling a friend/fellow Cathlete about what's going on and she thinks I'm overtraining and need a break soooo...I'm supposed to take the weekend off from my work outs. It's gonna be TOUGH for me to do but I promised her that I would try. Tmrw will be easier then Sunday because I have kind of a busy day on tap. I have no plans on Sunday though. I also have 2 bad meals coming at me this weekend (tonight and tmrw night) so I am going to feel extra guilty for skipping my work outs bc of them. :( The rest this w/e is also going to screw up my STS work out schedule so I will have to use my usual w/o times to try and figure out how to get back on track!

Terina:: I want to see HI some day. I will let you know when I am planning it! :D
