Snazzy Ladies January Check In Week of 1/16

Good Morning.

Y'day's work out was Cardio Knock Out Kickbox/Drills and Criss Cross Cardio's standing Abs.

Today will be a short cardio this moring (Intensity premix?) and STS Disc 3 this afternoon.

How do you like the new Check In name? ;)

Step Only Premix of Intensity is done. WHEW! Off to get my hair hilighlited in a few minutes and then back for leg day love! LOL

I am off from work today for MLK Jr. Day and am still the first one to check in!? What's up with that!? :p

I should be sleeping right now but my body's internal alarm clock obviously kicked in. :rolleyes: It doesn't make me happy BUT I can always nap later and THAT makes me happy. :)

I have some bum DOMS this morning. Love that. Today's work out will be STS Week 3 Disc 4 and some cardio as well since I will have the time.

I'm still MIA on MLK, whats up with that? This cold has taken me down. I canceled a home sales party for last Saturday so I didn't get anyone sick. I hoped to have some energy back by today. i never take 5 days off. Never. I hope to get started again tomorrow. Not sure if I should drop my plan of doing Cathe's January rotation or just pick up with KPC and keep on.
Just to make it public, I'm committing to logging my food as well as workouts. I always log my workouts but I'm ready to do food. I want to take my fitness to a new level for Spring.
 
HI LADIES! Sorry to be MIA this weekend. It was a bit busy with stuff for the kids, running with my group, etc.

So, to get caught up, since I can't remember if I posted at ALL this weekend:
Sat: 8 mile long run with my group, kept a 9:14 pace which made me happy because there were KILLer hills
Sun: (am) Power Yoga (pm) 5.25+ mile run with my group
Mon: 4 mile run w group, STS Disc 6 Legs
I'm feeling the effects of 3 consecutive days' running, so I'm glad tomorrow is upper body and I'll probably get in some swimming too.

I LOVE the name, Wendy. LOVE that word.....SNAZZY.

I'll commit with you (Colleen) to log my food. I'm just gonna list them here, if that's okay with you guys. My eating hasn't been BAD (with the exception of yesterday, I'll explain below), but I've been letting some 'un'clean stuff sneak their way it....like the instant flavored (Hazelnut Latte) oatmeal that I've been making with a scoop of vanilla protein powder. It's my current addiction and I've been having it twice in a DAY! But I need to get back to my CLEAN steel cut oats. Anyway....I'll share my menu here if you guys are okay with that. So....yesterday was pretty much a free-for-all with my eating. I was clean till after our group run. We hit a diner for lunch and I had 3 big sweet potatoe pancakes (yes, with some butter and syrup) and 2 links (TWO) of kielbasa. THEN.....5 Guys Burgers with the kids for dinner....CHEESEBURGER and FRIES! Followed by Girl Scout cookies for dessert. Ummmmm....my tummy's not happy with me today. :D

40 minute cardio creation using the WOB comprised of IMAX2 and CCC and ending up with abs from TRAVEL FIT.

Had to skip Disc 4 for time today...

I also was MIA this weekend,from friday till sunday we were just so busy.

and my eating I totally fell off the wagon.So I will also post my eating here,or just if I did the 6 meals:D.

Oh, and I want to commit to you all that I WILL GET MY 6 WORKOUT IN THIS WEEK. :D

Thanks Terina re the work outs. I try. ;) Good job with IMAX. Falling off the wagon is only bad if you don't get back on! :)

Today was supposed to be a rest day but DS has a 2 hour delay which means so do I so I got to sleep in even longer then anticipated AND get a work out in anyway! I will rest tmrw. I can't pass up this opportunity! :D

So Disc 4 here I come!!!! I'll add on a short cardio if there's time....

Schools are closed here due to the ice we've been getting, and are supposed to get ALL day. I did Disc 4 Ch/Sh/Bis and then Pilates Abs from Ab Circuits. If I can get out later, I'd like to do some laps at the Y pool. We'll see how the roads are.

Gayle...We were icing over night but then it changed to rain so things started to melt otherwise school probably would have been closed here too. Stay safe! Don't go out if it's bad! Enjoy your day off with your kids and your work out!
 
Hey Wendy.....how'd ya like Disc 4? I'm gonna like repeating it next week because I can eek the weights up just a smidgen. :D

I need to journal my food RIGHT NOW. My head keeps telling me it will be okay to have a slice of the cake I made with DS, but I KNOW it's not anything special and that I'll regret it tonight if I ate it. Holding strong.

M1: post workout: Protein Oatmeal
M2: homemade chicken veggie soup
M3: MORE homemade chicken veggie soup w/ Arnold Flat round bread
M4: Gala apple with 1T Trader Joe's almond butter w/ roasted flax
M5: PLANNING a can of tuna, 2T l/f Miracle Whip, Arnold Flat round bread, green beans
M6: Protein Oatmeal (usually don't eat this many carbs at night, but I have my interval run in the early AM and like to add these carbs in for that reason)

STANDING MY GROUND against that nasty voice telling me to eat junk! Darn snow day....being lazy makes it SO much easier for these urges to hit.
 
Gayle I have a nasty voice that tells me to stay in my pj's until March. We have as much snow now as we usually get in an entire winter. Why did i marry a man who lives in Minnesota?
Did KPC put was very low on energy. But I have to start working out. Cold is much better. Cathe's Jan. rotation seems too tough for my state of mind right now but I'll do my best. Just no double workout days.
Tomorrow Total Body. I do like that workout.
I'm going to log my food at home 'cause it takes me too long to type. But I have to get clean.

im on my 5th meal for today!!!!

hoping the weather gets better for you guys.....sending warm thought from Hawaii.:D
 
I'm DYING to do CCC soon. It's been on my to-do WO list for about 3 weeks now....I just MUST get it in there somehow..SOON!

Colleen, please take it easy if you're still not feeling well. It's so hard to take my own advice on this one, but I don't want you to prolong a 100% recovery. I know, I know....."yes, Moooooooooooooooom". :)

Wendy, how're the roads by you? We have a 2 hour delay today. And....have you seen the forecast? Looks like we're gonna get hammered with another storm Thursday night/Friday morning. YAY! ;)

Well, I need a good swift kick in the ARSE, ladies. I was so good. I was ignoring that nasty voice. I logged my food, and I confessed to you guys about the urges in my head. But I CAVED! I gave right in and CAVED like an avalanche. And it wasn't pretty. It ended up in an all-out eatfest. OMG....why did I do that. I have a bad BAD binging habit (or maybe I should call it a behavior) that I've been pretty much in control of for the last 3 months or so, but it came out of hibernation last night. YUCK!

OK....enough with the negative. Confessional is now closed (unless somebody else feels the need, which I hope you don't. lol).

I got up early, hydrated more than I normally do on an early morning workout (see above notes for reason why, lol), and hit Eddy my Tready for mile repeats. My mile repeats were at an 8:06 pace and I felt good and strong and like I could go faster....and I WILL for the next repeat workout (in 2 weeks). Then I stretched out well because I'm pretty DOMSy today.

Gayle:: Roads here are fine now but yes, something coming down the road for Friday now. UGH. :rolleyes:

Okay ladies, you are all talking about tracking food etc and here I go eating 4 munchkins today! :eek: Gonna have to give up dessert tonight to make up for it cause goodness knows I'm not giving up my glass of wine! ;):D
 
PUT DOWN the Munchkins! ;) Just kidding. 4 little bitty things? Stop there, and you're fine....MY problem is the part with "STOP THERE"! :D

1/2 mile swim DONE! New goggles made a HUGE HUGE difference, AND......much less stopping to catch my breath. PROGRESS!!!!!!!!!!!

M1: homemade chicken veggie soup (YES...for breakfast...lol)
M2: protein oatmeal
M3: banana and serving of raw almonds (eat meal #3 at school/work each day)
M4: protein oatmeal (post-swim, so wanted to refuel with these carbs)
M5: gala apple, Special K 90calorie bar (a guilty pleasure), about 2oz lean roast beef
M6: HUGE serving of my homemade soup (again....only have about 1.5 servings of leftovers left for tomorrow)

Good Morning.

I slept like crap again last night. Ok from 9:30 to 2am but after that, ugh. :rolleyes: I snoozed my alarm like craaaazy and finally dragged my butt out of bed just before 5. I won't get the intended hour long work out in but I want to do SOMETHING. Gonna be tired today....:(

Sorry you didn't sleep well, Wendy. Maybe it's the energy from the incoming snow? :D I hope your day isn't too crazy for you.

I was up early again for my workout. I was a bit confused last night...thinking today was my 'free cardio' day but it was actually Disc 5 Back/Tris and I tacked on LBB floor/band work and leg conditioning drills. I LOVE that leg work, and believe it or not, when I do it next week, I'm planning on wearing my 10# vest. :eek:

Snow is coming again tonight.....hoping for another snow day tomorrow, which will also mean an extra long workout. :D:D:D If we do get the storm, it will cancel EVERYthing the kids have tomorrow night which is a LOT and I was trying to scramble to find a way to handle it all. Older DS has a basketball game, younger DS has his 4th grade dance/party and I have my book club meeting. I would have had to miss the ball game and that was making me a bit sad. BUT...the snow just might solve it. LOL

ANYWAY.....Happy THURSDAY! Whatever you do today, MAKE IT COUNT!
