SNAZZY Ladies Check In...Month of April! :)

Checking in with my workouts from Friday morning, It was Super cardio Sculpt & Fat Blaster from the Firm.

Gayle-Great run! Im sorry I don't mean to be nosy, but what happened to his dad?. You did great in comforting your son. :)

Hi Wendy!!!

Teri, you're not being nosey. At this point, I forget that some people might not know my 'story'. We lost my husband (their dad, obviously) in Sept 2004 to leukemia. The boys were 3 and 6 at the time. It's been quite a journey....me raising 2 BOYS! :D But I do my best but days like today are very, VERY hard.

Good Afternoon Ladies.

Well, I was SUPPOSED to do D18/cardio/abs today but ummm...not happening. I had a leetle too much fun last night and now I'm exhausted. I hope I can stay awake through Annie later!

So we had quite the storm here y'day. OMG! It rained on and off all day long and was EXTREMELY windy. When I left to go out last night the rain wasn't horrible but the wind was. When I left my friend's house to come home around 12:30am the wind had died but the rain was CRAZY! It was coming down soooo hard and the roads were all flooded! I swear I hydroplaned most of the way home. It was a TRULY SCAREY EXPERIENCE! I was sooooo happy when I got home and both me and my car were in one piece. My HEART was tired from racing (LOL) but I was fine otherwise thank goodness.

Gayle:: HUGS. Sorry to hear that about your DS. Hope he's doing better today.

Teri:: Hi! :) What work out did you do today?

Colleen:: You've been MIA for a while. Hope you'll pop back in soon!

Monday Monday

Checking in with this mornings workout, I did lower body blast. :D I just previewed High Step Challenge for tomorrow because its been a long while since doing this one. Man my you "know what" looks like will get kicked tomorrow.

Gayle,Im sorry to hear about your husband. Being a single mom is tuff, but for sure you're doing awesome job :)

Wendy-I saw your nose bleed picture on FB,that was high up:eek: Glad you made it home safely.

Terina:: HSC tmrw on sore legs from LBB is gonna be a fun one I am sure!;)

I did MMA: Boxing today with weighted gloves in full so I got abs in there too w/o having to do a separate work out. Very time efficient sweat! ;)

Have a great day!

Checking in with High Step Challenge, and that is one tuff workout! I thought my heart was going to beat right out of my chest. On the 3rd exercise when she has us doing a leg press with overhead press with 3lb DB,well I was breathing so hard and wiped out that I used 1lb DB . I couldn't stop and take my time with the workout because I have to be done by 630am to clean up and get ready for grandbabies to come... I even took a morning nap!!(well i don't know it thats the reason but it works....lol)

I previewed my " STS-squat rack" dvd and all the workouts looked the same on each dvd? is it supposed to be like that? Or was it just me?

Wendy- great on you're workout :)
Hi Gayle!

Wendy, we had that same crazy storm this weekend....it was really bad, wasn't it? Enjoy the recovery week. I'm so proud of you for sticking to this rotation, really!!!!!

Teri, LBB is awesome, isn't it??? Meso 3 (squat rack) will indeed all look the same. Sorry....lol. And a lot of rest time between sets...I was checking email during those rest periods! :D

OK...to get caught up. 14 mile long run was Saturday morning (have I said that yet? LOL) Sunday was only Stretch Max (no equipment). Monday was LB weights from trainer friend, and today was double workout: trainer friend's Shoulder and Tris and tonight i tried out a brand new spin class on bikes called RealRyders. The bikes actually TILT left and right. I'm NOT a big spin fan, but this was a pretty good workout. I have 6 more classes on my pass and plan on using them. My quads, however, are now TOTALLY DOMS-infested. lol

Getting ready for bed now. PROMISE that I will check in each day thru Sunday...PROMISE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You girls are doing AWESOMEly. Keep it up!

OMG I am crazy sore from MMA:Boxing!!!

This morning I did the cardio from BBC Butt and Legs and followed it up with abs from Muscles Max.

So I don't recall if I've mentioned it here but I joined WW online on Friday and OMG, I love it! It's easy to follow and as per the scale I am already down 3#! I am sure some of it is a fluke and will come back but I'll bet I will see a solid 2# loss for the week when I weigh in on Friday! So excited! :D

Terina:: HSC moves fast. That is done purposely to increase intensity. It's killer, I know!

Gayle:: Yeah the storm we got on Saturday was nuts! Bad wind during the day but then crazy rain that night! If you didn't read it yet, go up a few posts and read about my experience that night cause I went out and had to drive in it!!!!:eek::eek: TY re sticking with STS. :) TBH, I am amazed that I am doing it but I like it and I am seeing results so there is no reason to quit! :) Wow those new spin bikes sound super cool! I used to take spin when I was a gym member. I liked it to a point but started and stopped it a couple of times during the course of my membership b/c it just didn't hold my interest for any real extended period of time. I think what kept me going to the class as long as I did was the instructor. Such a nice lady. :) It's a great work out though!

WW ROCKS!

In the first week I've lost........3#!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D:D:D

Seems like a bit much for someone my size but I'll take it! *happy dance*

I can FEEL the difference in my clothes and I can SEE it in the mirror too and I lurve it! ;)

apologize

Sorry to have been gone so long from this check in. Life. I did finish Meso 2 but I ended up having some residual shoulder pain from upping my weights too high. I'm strong enough but my shoulder joints aren't. If that makes sense.
The show ended last Sunday and it went well. Someone has made a low ball offer on our house and we turned it down.
I'm going to start Meso 3 today. I took 4 days off to just rest and eat what ever I wanted ... mistake!!! Back to "work, work".
I'll read up on posts later.
Happy Spring.
Colleen

GOOD FRIDAY

Good Friday: hello ladies =) Checking in for last 3 days.
Wednesday: no workout had a late tuesday nite so there was no way I could get up =0
Thrusday: It was Express Cardio. Those steps up on 14" box got me winded plus it doesn't help that I don't have my mirror in the living room anymore,it made it easy to do those step ups on the 14" step when I could see it in the mirror.
Today: Cardio & Weights(1st time doing this workout). This is one great workout, the step routine was great with no difficlult steps. Next time I think i'll try it on a 8" step. This is rite up there with Imax 2! one of my new favs!

WENDY: 3pounds! thats awesome! can I get some info on that site? Please =)
COLLEEN-Hope your shoulder feels better. Glad to have you back.
GAYLE-Thats so neat about those spin bikes. I enjoyed my spin classes, but the people in the class were very clickish. I attented that class for about 3 months, one morning I walked in and there were about 3 people warming up on their bikes so I smiled and not one person smiled back they just kept talking among themselves. please don't get me wrong I'm not a sensative person were my feeling get hurt easy...but when other people walked in everyone said hello. So Im glad I have Cathe she always smiles at me...LOL

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND EVERYONE!!!

Colleen:: No apologies necessary! Sorry about the house offer being so low but getting any offer no matter how low is a potential good sign right?
I understand what you mean about your shoulders. Take care of that. Lift lighter if you have to. Want to keep those joints in good working order for as long as you can! :)

Terina:: www.weightwatchers.com I am doing the special savings 3 month online membership. Website has everything: food/points tracker, activity/points tracker, recipes, message boards, articles, shopping lists, tips and suggestions for everything from what to eat and cooking to working out, sample work outs etc. and you choose your own weigh in day and record your weight/measurements online in your account. I have no interest in meetings and want to stay on the plan once I've lost for maintenance purposes so this was the best deal for me. I will plan to continue with it beyond 3 months for sure so this way atleast I save a few bucks in the beginning. Have I convinced you yet? ;)

Checking in this morning with Cathe's Intensity (step only premix) and Jiggle Free Arm from The Firm, I used light weight since yesterday I used heavy with Cathe ,and i really didn't do Cardio from JFA because I was wiped out from Cathe.

Did you ladies ever do The Firm?

Have a great weekend!

Good Afternoon Ladies.

Today was Squeeze Stronger in full (60 mins of OUCH!) followed by 25 mins of CTX Step and Intervals which took my tired legs through the first interval and then I was done, fried, kaput. Could do no more. :p

Ternina:: Yup, I sure have done the Firm! I did them A LOT at one time! Loved them and they did a lot for me but eventually it was time for me to move on so I sold all of my Firms on Ebay a number of years ago along with other instructors/series that I eventually outgrew/got bored with, etc.

OK, NO MORE PROMISES from me, cuz I just can't seem to keep them! :p

Teri, I understand that. I'm a pretty outgoing person and pretty much those folks don't have a CHOICE but to say HI to me. LOL

Wendy, WTG on the WW progress. That's where I started with my weight loss journey about 7 years ago...it's a solid DOABLE program! But you ARE little....what's your goal (you don't have to be specific...I just mean how many total pounds are you looking to get rid of?)?

Colleen, glad to hear life is back to normal with the show being done....it IS back to normal, right? ENJOY Meso 3!

As for me....this morning was my last long run and SO BEGINS THE TAPER! Funny how next weekend's HALF MARATHON is part of a taper week! LOL 20 miles this morning starting at 6:30, and it rained the entire time....at times quite heavy. I NEED to fuel during my runs. No more of this nonsense. Who thinks she can (or SHOULD) run 20 miles without any refueling other than water....ME! lol But I learned today that YOU GOTTA FUEL! I hurt by mile 15, and I actually whined a little bit. lol Just these last 17 weeks of training have been piling up, I wasn't fueled properly, the conditions were lousy, and TOM arrived last night zapping a bit of energy as normal. No EXCUSES...it got done, and NOW I'm ready to taper, BABY!!!!!!!

Happy Easter to all of you!

It feels good to be able to have time to check it again. Hiit Double Wave Pyramid and extra stretching today.
Have a Blessed Weekend .. Hugs.
Colleen

Happy Easter All.

Gayle:: No fueling on a 20 mile run!?!? HOLY COW! I think I would have fallen on the ground passed out somewhere by mile 15! Enjoy your taper (and your HM!)! So my initial weight loss goal is 6 pounds and then I'll see where I'm at. That would bring me to a weight that I attained in the last couple of years and was happy at but the weight crept back on when I wasn't looking and I just haven't had any luck losing any of it...UNTIL NOW! :D Joining WW over 6 pounds may seem silly but I really need the help, PLUS I think it will be extremely helpful in MAINTAINING my goal weight as well. It's also soooo much easier then calorie and macro counting. UGH. I've gone that route several times over the years and TBH it only actually worked for me ONCE so I've given up on it.
When you did WW it was the old program I presume, not the points plus system? My sister did the old program about 15 years ago and lost a ton of weight she had gained with having her first 2 children. She looked amazing! It's apparently always been a very successful program but I always shyed away thinking that "counting" would be too much work. As it turns out I was missing out on the EASY way to do it all of these years! *sigh*
