Thanks Janice!
It's not calorie reduction at all...not yet anyway. (Cutting calories will come in the final weeks before show time, to really shrink the skin down onto the muscles, and rid the last of the fat. Right now, I'm building some muscle, but not going so far as to "bulk"...making the most of what I have, I guess you could say.)
Each week I get my meal plan from MsFit, and it tells me how many calories to eat at each meal, and how many grams protein, fat, and carb to consume in those calories. It's a specific formula. It's my job to create a menu that I can eat, that will follow those guidelines. I like this, because no matter how much someone tells me to "eat tuna", I'm just not going to do it, because I loathe it! LOL However, MsFit will give me a sample menu, if I have trouble coming up with the proper combinations on my own.
I'm eating around 1500 calories per day, consumed in 5 meals of about 300 calories each. EAch of those meals MUST be balanced...must have protein, fat, and carbs. Also, the majority of it MUST come from real food...no protein bars/powders/whatever on a regular basis. Whole quality food. I eat a lot of egg whites, chicken breast, fish, turkey, natural peanut butter, flax oil, walnuts, brocolli, spinach, oatmeal....you get the idea.
Yes, I pay for e-consultations. You can buy any number of them, so if your funds are limited, you can pay as you go. If you buy 3 consults, that could take you 6 weeks or more, depending on how your body responds. So it doesn't necessarily equate to 3 consults = 3 weeks. Rather than risk quoting incorrect rates, I'll refer you to the link,
www.theelitephysique.com/consultations/. There are lots of different plans available.
It has helped me, because for the first time in my life, the scale is barely budging, but I'm dropping body fat and starting to look cut. *starting*, remember (go see my pics, lol) I've worn a size 5 my whole life...I'm now in size 3 jeans, for example.
I knew what good, clean food was, but I didn't know how to make it work for me. She has me cycling my carbs right now....so some days I'll have starchy carbs with every meal but one. By the end of the week, I'll be having more non-starchy veggie carbs (brocolli, etc) for my carbs, and she ups the protein and fat. I didn't have the science to make the food work for shedding my bodyfat. That's what I' m getting out of it.
Hope this helps!
