Slow & Heavy

I love this workout!!

I had never done it before last night but I’m in love with this workout! I really felt with the slowness of the routine I had the ability to really concentrate on the muscle I was working. I felt like I was sure I was doing it right and with the rest periods between sets I was able to increase or decrease the weight without falling behind (or pausing the DVD). I did chest and back last night. Tonight I’m doing Legs and whatever goes with that, and Friday it’s bis and tris --I’m excited.

I’ve never done Gym Style either, and that’s on the rotation for next week – I’m hoping to like it as much as S&H, even if its for different reasons!

Sounds like you've got some good workouts ahead. I have both the S&H and the GS workouts. I love the Gym Styles and use them religiously. You'll see gains from both.

Travis,

I don't have the Gym Styles (except Legs), but I do have S&H and really like it. Sometimes during endurance-type lifting, I feel like it goes too fast (or in honesty I'm probably using too heavy a weight). But in S&H I really concentrate and go slow. It really works for me, and I've seen great strength gains in just a few weeks.

Have fun!

Hi Travis,

I love, love, LOVE the S&H series! Like you said, the slow pace really allows you to concentrate on your form, and I feel like I can really challenge myself with them. The GS series are great, too!

S&H is a cool workout. I'm a big guy, so keeping up with fast moves can be a problem sometimes. But S&H is paced at an ideal heavy weight pace for me.

A simple yet effective workout.
