Slow and Heavy Week #1

OMG - I am soooo sore from my first week of Cathe workouts! Started with S&H and will stick with that for a few weeks before switching. First I started with just the legs portion of L&S and then did shoulders the next day, following both workouts with 30 minuts of treadclimber. Then I decided to alternate one day cardio, one day Cathe so finished up the week with the other workouts and threw in a CoreMax as well. Man, I am pretty sore, but I didn't OVERDO it, just worked hard. She so much fun to workout with - motivational, inspirational and upbeat. This was the best thing I've ever done! I had all the weight equipment and other cardio equipment, but have really just focused for the past year on cardio and my TotalGym ... it's been difficult to motivate myself to do "real" weightlifting workouts. I started with Jari's Ripped series but couldn't stomach her - too dry - so after hovering around the boards I broke down and bought a ton of DVDs (thanks to some of you for your suggestions).

Looking forward to doing more than "lurking" around here - want to share, learn and participate!

Hi Mary,

It's so nice to hear that you like S&H! It and the GS series are my favorite Cathe weight-lifting series, and she makes lifting so much fun!

Just be warned -- buying Cathe workouts is very addictive, as it sounds like you already know!:)
