slow and heavy calf exercises

I have MIS and just purchased Slow and Heavy as a rotation. My question is (since I don't have Slow and Heavy yet) are the calves worked hard. MIS doesn't really work them much. Thanks in advance. donam

Cathe works them at the end of all the leg stuff. She doesn't do slow calf raise, the lifts are done to tempo. She does 2 sets of 25-30 reps. I don't usually do the calf exercise, I substitute dead lifts. She holds dumbbells at her sides for the raises.

IMO, they are worked hard in Pure Strength and in Leaner Legs.
In Pure Strength, she shows a few different ways to do them. With a 2x4 board, one-legged, seated. I try to vary it when I do them.

I think you will like S&H and dedicated calf work.

I sometimes use the edge of my step but not everyone's floor or carpet will allow that. I hang my heels down off the back edge to increase the range of motion, like in Pure Strength.
