Slim in 6, Slim Series?

Hi everyone,

Does anyone here use the Slim in 6 or Slim Series workouts? (I know, I know, what's better than Cathe, right?). If so, what is the difference between the two? Is Slim in 6 more for beginners? How do you like these workouts, and are they effective? Just curious what all the hooplah is about! Thanks!

Slim in 6 is more for a beginner/inter and Slim Series is more advanced. I have got SS and will be starting a rotation on Monday. I like the workouts..it adds variety to my Cathe videos. I choose the music off option though...if I didn't play my own music I wouldn't make it through the workouts. You get a full body workout..I think they are a great addition to anyones video library.

Good Luck!!!

I have the Slim Series. It's the one workout program that broke me out of a plateau. I'm so glad It tried it. I can now see my muscles I've worked so hard for. It's very different from Cathe. It's great to shake things up when you stop seeing results from what you are already doing.

If you are doing Cathe workouts, get the Slim Series. Slim-n-6 will be to easy for you.

Thanks for the info! I am looking for something different to shake things up, so it sounds like the Slim Series may be the thing I am looking for! I just might give it a try! Thanks again.

Hi Sunnyside,
In order to break through your plateau did you have to do the Slim Series as prescribed (for 6 weeks in a certain order) or did you simply rotate them into a program including Cathe videos...if so ... how?
Thanks.

Hi Cathy, I had been doing Cathe workouts faithfully, but with no certain rotation, just whatever I felt like for the day. I was strong and in shape, but still had this layer of fat I COULD NOT get rid of.

I did this Slim Series rotation for only 4 weeks and was shocked at the end at my results. Granted, I only lost 5 lbs (not bad for 4 weeks though), but that was the layer of fat on me. My pants were all very baggy at the end, I lost alot of inches. Plus, I was so happy that my back fat was gone. I did cut out all junk food and ate as healthy as I could. I didn't follow any plan and took no supplements.

Sunday-Yoga
Mon-Shape it up
Tues-Firm it up-HIIT
Wed-Mix it up-
Thurs-Tone it up-HIIT
Fri-Yoga
Sat-Tear it up-HIIT

Here are my results after only 4 weeks.

119lbs...............114lbs
Chest 35............33
waist 29.............27
Hips 35..............33
thighs 20......19 1/2
biceps 11.....10 1/4

I just think it was so different from Cathe's style of working out that it really shocked my body. They are not as fun or have the variety that Cathe has, but they work. Just commit to it and give it your all. I'm going to keep them and always use them when I hit a plateau. I think no matter what type of workout you do, your body adjusts and needs a shock once in awhile.
