Slanted Risers, which Cathe workouts are you using them with?

Cathlete
I just received my beautiful slanted risers from Cathe this week along with the Kim Spreen,Rob Glick, and Tamara on the DVD.
Which Cathe workouts are you using them for?

TIA.

I just got the slanted risers myself and plan to use them on Slow & Heavy and/or Gym Styles. There are places in both I think (can't recall exactly which one or where!) where Cathe has you stack the regular risers so that they are "slanted."

Most recently, I used the slanted risers for the chest work in 4DS. They are fabulous and feel so much more secure than using the regular risers.

P.S. Just did Slow and Heavy: Chest and Back - and used my new slanted risers for several exercises. In S&H CB they pile up the regular risers at an angle, which is somewhat unstable. I LOVED the slanted risers for doing chest and back - exactly what was needed for the various incline exercises.

I will use these from now on on every incline exercise - and they do show up on various already-existing DVDs.

Jackie, I don't have any of the ramp w/o, so I can not say for sure, but I bet they would work.

I did the step portion of the dvd that came with the risers last night. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked the incline step work. It wasn't very intense, but then again I could kick it up a notch or two and probably make it that way }(

I am interested in getting the slanted risers but they are a little pricey. They come in a set of 2. Do those of you who have them use both of them or just one? I have a friend who may go in on them with me, but I want to be sure first that you don't need 2 of them.

Thanks,
Carolyn

RE: Slanted Risers, which Cathe workouts are you using ...

Carolyn,

If you aren't planning on using the risers to form a ramp-type apparatus for cardio, then I think you would be fine with only one riser. I am currently only using them to make a more stable incline/decline bench, and all I really need is one.

Wish I would have thought of your idea!

HTH.
