Skulls are everywhere!

Skulls

I used to think that they were evil. But I don't anymore.
Skulls can mean Strength, Power, Protection and overcoming death.
Personally I love pirates!

LOVE the Halloween window setup Cynthia!!

Yes indeed..... the skull head items are VERY popular now. Rihanna has a tatoo of one w/a red bow, on the back of her ankle. And... Mr. Bon Jovi wears this one often. Price? A little over 13K.

The skull symbol has a few meanings that are not evil.

Here is the Christian meaning for the skull and crossbone symbol

Hispanic Christian celebrated Day of the Dead....

Whichever way is celebrated, Day of the Dead is a time of reflection about the meaning of life and the mission that one needs to fulfill. Death in many situations imparts a feeling of pain and loss, particularly for those who do not know the purpose of their path on this earthly plane. For others, death is transcendence, transformation and resurrection. During the celebration of Day of the Dead all those feelings and beliefs come together in a season that brings to life the memory of the loved ones.

ITA with Shelley. My teen and twenty somethings have been into skulls for a few years. I think it was quite goth, but then with Pirates of the Carribean out it became even more prevalent.

I'm not a fan, but have bought DD (19) some outfits with skulls.

Yeah I know! what's up with that?? They're slightly disturbing but very cool at the same time.

Cynthia, - I love love your diamond skull pendant.
