Skin care Junkie

I am a total skin care junkie and I am now considering trying Darphin. Its botanical and "natural" based. Anyone used this line? Good Bad or Indifferent? I know it can be pricey. My 42 yr old skin is sensitive and I can get rosecea. AND I DESPISE THE THOUGHT OF WRINKLES!!!Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks

I too am a self-professed skin care junkie to be sure!:) I am 41 and really do not have any "wrinkles", a few fine lines under my eyes, but no crows feet at all. My skincare recommendations? Number 1, good genes!:7 Second, use the good stuff only. Just because something is super pricey does not always mean it works.

I started with the NuDerm program by Obagi and saw amazing results, I tend to have brown spots and this program lightened and took them away, along with the laser treatments.Plus the retinol is the best thing for wrinkles and discouraging new ones to form.

I use a combination of Obagi RX skincare-its vitamin C based and awesome, I get compliments on my skin all the time. It does turn your face pretty red at first. I too have some rosecea problems-redness. I have had a series of IP facials to help with this condition, and believe me it will change your life.

I also swear by Amatokin which is basically formulated with stem cells, so it actually helps create collagen-which decreases with each passing year....it grows new "stuff". Love it, I use the cream and serum, it works on scars too.

Hope this helps some. Personally I would rather 'treat and prevent" then just "cover up". Which is what most stuff out there really does.:)

I needed to clarify, the Nuderm program lasts 6 weeks, I started the Obagi RX program (different products, not as strong and vitamin C based) after my initial 6 weeks.

Thank you!! I shop on line for all my skin care (I live rurally and I find its just easier) I hope this is available on line, my first stop will be skinstore, dermadoctor. I need stores that ship to Australia and a lot of skin stores don't ship to Aust. Thanks! I'm off to investigate! (written like a true skincare junkie gotta have it yesturday!)

I shop at skinstore.com!:) It is my absolute favorite! You will not be disappointed. Expect some redness and peeling, no your face isn't falling off, its supposed to do that!;) Use every other day at first til you get used to it.

Hi,

Tneah:
Are you saying you use the Retin A every other day? I started a regime with Dr Bauman's book that has you using the Retin A each night with a nightime moisturizer. It was too harsh for me, so I did it less frequently. It still irriated my face. What product would you say helped brown spots the most?

I 2nd the obaji. I have been on it for 2 months and i do have to say i like it. My skin has not looked this good since my 20's..
Redness is mostly from the sunfader and getting used to it..It has faded on me also..

I am also a skin care junkie. I have prescribtion retin-A so I have passed on a lot of products lately. I do use Clarins day cream and eye cream. I have been pleased with that. I do believe a lot has to do with good genes also.
I have only used Darphine's eye cream and it is OK I went back to Clarins after trying Darphin. See if you can get a sample to try and then buy it if you like it.

Hey Deb!

I think the product that actually clears the spots is called 'Clear" in the NuDerm Obagi line of skincare.
In the Obagi RX line, they have a night cream and clarifying serum that contains (actually all the products I mentioned) contain an ingredient called "hydroquinone" forgive the spelling.
It actually bleaches out those pesky spots.

I use the retin every other night, I do not like to peel too much!:)

I am a big skin care junkie, too. I want to try the Obagi line soon. It may be one of my "resolutions"! I'm happy to hear about your results.
