SJ&P Holy cats! And a ???

I just did the FitTV version of Step jump and pump. OH MY. I can't imagine doing the full version right now...but hopefully eventually! What a great workout! One major frustration was the commercials (obviously). I literally almost shut it off and came upstairs to order the DVD. So - a couple of questions about the DVD. Are there shorter pre-mixes for me to work my way up to the full 70 minute torture fest? That one set of lunges was all I could handle - do the other circuits focus on other muscles and not on those again? I'm pretty close to ordering the full body blast, but I'm still unsure if I should spend the $ since I just bought CTX. This website and Cathe videos should come with a warning "these videos may create great glutes and empty wallets and may lead to serious addiction". I guess the forums is where we come for our "therapy" :)

Thanks for your tips on SJ&P!

The SB/SJP dvd has many premixes, here's a link to them, though it's a bit hard to read at first, much easier if you have a breakdown of the separate exercises/segments which I think can be found on the dvd page....

hopefully this works....www.cathe.com/tab_DVD5.htm

Amy,

This workout is a must have. This is my favorite circuit training workout, maybe even my favorite workout. You actually work a different muscle group with each circuit. You get a very thorough workout. The premixes are great and offer shorter workouts, but on this one all I have to do is start the dvd and before I know it I have done the entire workout. The step section is sooooooo much fun that sometimes I do it a second time or just do it as an addition to another workout.

I have to say that I love the CTX series too. I still use those workouts a lot. I think the upper body split workout is one of the toughest upper body workouts. My upper body is fried after finishing that. As for the cardios - I really look forward to doing 10-10-10, step and intervals and kick boxing. Sometimes later in the day after I have done my scheduled workout if I have energy I do one of them for fun.

Hope that helps.

Amy, You have to get this one, the premixes are the best IMO of any she has put together in this series.
End of story, a must have.

This dvd also has the Workout Blender which allows you to make your own workout by picking certain portions of the workout to do. Also, the other workout on the dvd (Step Blast) is really fun. It's my favorite cardio workout these days.

i LOVE SJP... i just don't have the time to do it as often as i'd like :( since i only have an hour... hour and 15 minutes tops, in the morning before work... so i have to do this on weekends.. which means it has to compete with bike riding.... *sigh*

but it's LOADS of fun and a great workout, too!
