I had sinus surgery about 8 years ago but because of headaches - I also had a deviated septum. Though my problem was different, I had immediate relief and was back to normal within 3 days. The first day after I was out of it (taking pain pills etc) and pretty much did nothing but sleep. On the 2nd day after, they removed the packing and I was fine. I mostly was affected by the anesthesia which left me feeling kind of flu like for a couple of days (a little weak but not bad). The surgery itself was fine. I've been told that they no longer pack your sinuses after surgery so yours may be even easier then mine and I didn't think mine was bad at all. I'm also the kind of person that's not easily taken down by illness or injury so that could have some factor on my quick and easy recovery.
I had a friend that had the same thing done (and had your same problem) and it took her about a week to be feeling back to normal. But like me, the surgery was absolutely worth it! For me it changed my life as I had had daily headaches for years.
Hope that helps a little! Also, I didn't have any problem with post pain from the surgery.
