Shoveling snow, exercising and ring around the middle

I've been exercising,etc. for years but for the past two weeks on top of exercising 1 1/2 hours 3 times a week, shoveling snow every day for 2 1/2 hours and I am not losing my "ring around the middle". I don't have very much fat but I dont like it. I do step, lift weights, pilates, and a little of everything and try to vary my routine every time I exercise.

I've come to the conclusion it's easier to lose fat at 24 1/2 than 64 1/2 ;( .

Do you have any suggestions for losing it? The fat not my mind :D.

Hi Darlene! Many times the loss of estrogen begins to change our mid torso area. It can be very frustrating but don't let that upset your overall progress. Eat clean, drink lots of water, get lots of sleep/rest, keep your workouts fresh, challenging and fun, and treat yourself to some fun activities with friends. At 64 I want to be like you....young, active, and dedicated to keeping a healthy mind and body. Way to go Darlene!

Thanks Cathe, I never even thought about the estrogen and I'll just keep on doing what I'm doing as long as I can. I am going to try Basic Step on my Bosu tomorrow. I have most of your dvds and enjoy all of them :)
