Shoes - I'm new

Cathe,
I'm new to the world of step and aerobics. I am a runner, walker, swimmer, and biker. I was looking for a change/supplement to my workouts, and a friend mentioned you. I have ordered CTX and Basic Step and Body Fusion. Also ordered a high step and a regular step. So getting to my question...should I buy aerobic shoes or can I stick with my New Balance 833 that I use to run/walk?
Thanks, Nancy

I'm not Cathe, but running shoes are not designed to give you the lateral support you'll need when doing aerobics like step. It can be a pain to maintain so many pairs of sneakers, but your body will thank you!

Hi Nancy! I think you should get a pair of mid cut cross trainers because this will give you better lateral support and ankle support.

Have fun with the new workouts. I suggest starting with Basic Step. If that was easy for you then try Body Fusion before moving onto CTX. Keep me posted on your progress :)

Hi Nancy,

I just wanted to let you know that if you like New Balance (I love their shoes), then I have had great luck with their cross trainer 1007. It is comfy, yet gives great lateral support. I have had lots of problems with my feet in the past and these shoes have been "just the ticket"!
