Shoe preferences

I can't seem to find a shoe I like to step in. For many years I used Avia because a lot of people in my gym did! The Reebok I tried seemed bulky and I just bought a mid priced Logo athletic (Reebok) and my left foot keeps going numb 2/3's through the workout! Not great!! Does anyone have a suggestion in shoes or maybe even socks?

Has anyone tried Ryka?

I have the same problem with my shoes. It happens with my running shoes (puma) and my crosstrainers (I think the brand is saucony.) I also had the problem with my old crosstrainers (new balance.) My whole foot doesn't go numb, just the toes on my right foot.

It's nice to know that I am not the only one! But you're right-just the toes-left foot only even though I lace them the same way. weird!

Go to a running store like Fleet Feet and get fitted. Asics work best for me. I have high arches, PF and wide feet so they may or may not work for you.

I suppose the next time I'm in Pittsburgh I'll have to so some shopping at Fleet Feet! By the way- what is/are PF?

We don't have a Fleet Feet. I have to check out Roadrunner Sports.

To answer your question on Ryka, lots of people on this forum like the Ryka Enlight II (including Cathe!).. I wear them for regular weight work outs, kickboxing and step.. no problems at all!

Thanks for the tip! Are the sizes of Ryka shoes true, or do you have to jump up a half size as I've heard?
