Shock Cardio

No question Cathe. I just wanted to tell you that I am now the proud owner of your entire Shock Cardio Series (along with LIS). I really, really love it. You make THE BEST CARDIO workouts! I can always count on you to blast mega calories and keep my heart & body conditioned. Although I don't have all of your workouts (hopefully one day I will) you have definitely won me over!

Thank you greatly!

A very happy & fit Cathlete,

Natasha

You are going to live them!!! My favs are the MMAs. I just got them ( I don't know what took me so long) but they are awesome!!!!

Until now, I have stayed away from Shock Cardio because they are so short. I like to work out at least 60 minutes and have never been a fan of switching DVDs.

Do you add on something to them? Or are they chaptered to easily repeat a section?

I also read MMA is not very intense, more intermediate. Is that how you would classify the MMA group?

Which Shock Cardio w/o's have you tried? I can assure you, although the Hiit's are short in length, they are very high in intensity. Try doing Hiit 40/20 with little/no modifications. The longest 30 minutes of your life!! CCC (yes, cardio core circuit) is a little under 1hr, but oh boy, TOUGH COOKIE! On the same scale as IMAX 3, IMO. Yes, the others are easier and under 1 hour, but I think Cathe mentioned the whole series was designed to be various lengths/intensities to "shock" your body. I would not disregard this series as being easy based on length alone. But of course, to each his own. You never know, unless you try ;)

Take care,

Natasha

Cardio Core Circuit and Circuit Blast are both tough workouts. MMA is not like KPC or KM in any form but I believe Shock Cardio does compliment STS Strength as an active recovery type of workout.
As Cathe says, "You get out of the workout what you put into it."

But you know, if you find the MMA's shorter than you like, you can always do one of these workouts and then add, say, one of the shorter cardio sections from 4DS or CTX workouts. No harm in doubling up cardio workouts, especially since you do not have to limit use of the Shock cardio workouts to only accompany STS weights.

Make whatever combinations of workouts you like!
