Hi All!

I rec'd a free DVD Sample of Shaun T's New Insanity Workout. This workout was about 40 min. and was truly HARD. I was dripping in sweat when I finished. Great Music, moves and he was inspiring - made me go further and longer than I thought I could go. I hope all the others workouts with the set will be as good!

Do you have to be a member of something to get the sample workout? If so, sign me up! I just wondered if it was available somewhere for the general public to purchase.

I received the sample too. :D
It came with my Tony One on One subscription- the May release for all subscribers. I'm not sure it's still available Jan.

It is HARD! The warm-up is INSANE, the workout is INSANE!
I love it.
It goes perfect with Cathe's insane STS program (insanely good that is)

I receive The One on One with Tony Horton workouts each month and this month was a bonus DVD of Insanity. When Opened it I though for sure it would be a 10 minute sample and it was a full workout.

There's a lot of chatter about this series on the Video Fitness forums. I'm on the fence and may wait for a trade. It does look as if it would be a great series, though, but tough and very high impact.

The warm-up was a little high impact, but nothing really bad. After that, it was just hard, butt kicking suicide drills.
I can't speak for all the workouts in this series, but the plyo workout was less impact than Cathe's plyo.

What's a suicide drill? You want to kill yourself rather than continue?

Yeah, something like that:D
It's running, then lunging (touching the ground) side to side.

I think one of the best descriptions for Insanity Plyo Circuit is "Drill Max on crack":D:p
Shaun T is a cutie!!! He looks great shirtless:cool:

is a lot of room needed to do these workouts?

No, not for the plyo circuit. I'm not sure about the other workouts in the series.
Someone on another forum mentioned using these as a plateau buster. I thought that was a great idea. I can't see me doing these crazy workouts daily, but I'm going to use them for summer swimsuit season:D

workout

Hi,

I just did the Insanity workout yesterday and I honestly thought that I hadn't heard the intial directions correctly because the warm up was pretty darn intense. The rest of it was short, but it was even more intense. By the end I struggled to do those plank tucks. I guess it didn't help that my arms were fatigued from Meso 3. I think these will be a nice change of pace, but I did think Shawn was a little annoying and I never usually notice that sort of thing.

Have I missed anything about the cost or is that still a secret?

Tracy

...About the cost, I heard from Jess who told me that her guess was somewhere around the $120 mark like P9OX and CLX (they are all 90 day workouts) but she was not entirely sure....it never ends, there is always a workout around the corner we all want!!!

Thanks for the info on the guestimate of the cost. It never ends does it? I just cancelled my 1:1 with Tony; that will help:)

how are you ladies going to fit these workouts into your weekly workouts? Are you going to combine them with STS and if so, how will you arrange that? I know its supposed to be its own rotation but based on the preveiews for this workout, i highly doubt i will be doing them daily. Since it is body weight/cardio, could you do these workouts inbetween your STS weight workouts as a metabolic/cardio workout or would that be too much?

I'm not 100% certain how I'm going to use these. I'll have to see exactly how the program is designed. I'm hoping to use is with my TRX trainer.
Right now, I have the plyo circuits teaser workout and I'm using it as a HIIT workout. According to my bodybugg, the warm-up alone burned 150 calories. I burned over 400 in 42 minutes. So, I'm wanting these for the summer months for sure!!!:D
