Hi everyone,
I was wondering if anyone has heard of Sharon Mann the Works workout? I have seen it a lot lately and was wondering if anyone has tried it. Of course Cathe is always my number one, but I've been wondering about this workout for a while now.

thanks
Michelle~:)

Hi Michelle! How ya doing? I don't have The works vhs/dvd but I do remember reading that Honeybunch and a few others tried it and gave it a thumbs up! Hopefully they can jump in and explain more for you! All I know about it is that you can order it from www.bestbuy.com for 14.99( I think, but no more than that)and the shipping is free!(where have you been seeing it at? Commercials or at stores?)
The workouts are suppose to consist of different styles of training(kickboxing, bootcamp, pilates, sculpt etc) that are for time crunch days or can be combined for a longer workout or just for versatility for what you are already doing. As for the intensity level I have no idea, hopefully someone here can be more helpful! HTH(a lil);)

more info on the works

Hey Michelle! I know how into your dvd you are now and I found a site to order Sharon Mann's 3 pack dvd(if you ever do decide to take the plunge)http://theworkswithsharonmann.com/mall/dvdboxset.asp I also stumbled on another site with more cross training videos check it out http://www.thehollywoodtrainer.com/ Of course I'd wait for reviews on this, (I don't think they are out yet but you can preorder) I just thought you'd be interested in this site maybe for future purchases(if the reviews are good ;)

I wouldn't recommend Sharon Mann. She has a daily workout show here in Toronto (she's a fellow Canuck). I find her workouts boring, her sets darkly lit and kinda antiseptic, and she has these "Firm-like" background exercisers with frozen, unnatural smiles on their faces -- not that you can ever see them in the dark. I did a few of them before I got into fitness videos and was saying to myself "Is that all there is? When will this end? (And if I see one more Bulova watch commercial, I'll scream!)" The shows I've seen always have them exercising on raised, carpeted pillar-like thangs.

Sharon's TV workouts seem more geared toward the beginner. If you're used to Cathe, Sharon would bore you to tears.

Just my 2 cents!

Patricia

Hi Patricia,
Thanks for the insight on Sharon Mann. I had a bid on ebay for that workout "the works" I kept getting outbid so I finally gave up. I'm so glad to get some feedback on her. I am use to Cathe and there has been many other workouts I've tried that were too easy for me and I know it's because of doing Cathe. Thanks again.

Michelle :)
