Bananas
Sometimes I get terrible cramps in my calves and feet too, and I hate it waking up in the middle of the night because my foot is cramping up in the middle of the arch.
Over the years various doctors have recommend three things.
1) it might be related to low levels of potassium and to try eating bananas. (This seems to really help with the foot and calf cramps)
2) vitamin C helps with muscle pain and cramps and suggested drinking orange juice, V-8 or Clametto.
3) Try drinking more milk, (which really seemed to help with the eye lid twitches - don't I sound just lovely to be around, all twisted with cramps and twitching.)
Anyway, these things seem to help me.
Could be placebo effect, could be regression to the norm, but a good multivitamin might help.
