Hi Kathy, Its been since wtc horror that I worked out, I use to work out with your videos for 2 hrs 5 days a week, I lost my brother inlaw, a true hero firefighter in this tragedy, I was and still am having a real hard time excepting and copeing, so my MD put me on Paxil, with the lack of working out and 25lb weight gain from Paxil I need to drop this weight, I weaned off the Paxil, now seeing a nutritionist for meal planning and started working out again, I have almost all of your tapes with a few exeptions, is it wise would you say to weight train and cardio, or sgould i focus first on cardio to lose the weight?? Please some advice on a rotation. Thanks in advance if and or when you have time to answer, by the way did you have your new baby, I cant remember how far you were when i last posted. thanks. Denice.

Hi Denice! I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your brother in law. I know these last few months must have been very difficult for you. My thoughts and prayers continue to go out to you and your family.

Regarding your questions, you should do BOTH cardio and weights. They both offer weight loss and muscle conditioning benefits in different ways. You can do any cardio activities 4 to 5 times per week (6 times if so desired). The key is variety so some suggestions are step aerobics, running, spinning, kickboxing, hiking, hi/lo etc.

For weights you can try the PS series for 6 to 8 weeks, then the Slow and Heavy series for three weeks. At that point you'll be better able to see where you are as far as results are concerned in order to make your next tape selections.

Always keep a healthy and clean diet!

Good luck and please take care!

Thank you so much for your prayers, concern, and quick response. Just to clarify, I should do cardio one day the followind day ps and next day cardio and ps so on so on????????

Hi Denice! Yes that is fine, but if you do not have that flexibility within your week, let me know because there are other ways to work it in.
