Seeking reviews of Strong Legs and Abs

WRITER

I'm loving Gym Style Legs, the legs portion of Muscle Max (though I use a tall step and weights instead of low step and bands) and Leaner Legs is also a favorite. I find the legs portion of Power Hour and MIS to be less intense than the above. I enjoy Legs and Glutes as well. I'm the kind of exercizer who needs lots of variety -- so I want to know: given these inclinations, is Strong Legs and Abs a good one to rotate with the above? Is the intensity similar to GSL and LL, or is Strong Legs and Abs less or more intense? Does the workout add anything, or is it too similar? Any other comments about this workout are also welcome. Thanks.

I love this workout. I have gotten great results with it over the years and go back and incorporate it into my workouts. I think each one of Cathe's workouts incorporates something new so they are not repetitive. I think this has one of the best floor workouts. There is lots of barbell work. Those sit and stand squats are awesome. It is different than LL which is more endurance. I would say more like the GSL.

I'm assuming you're talking about Pure Strength-Legs and Abs. I love this workout, and it was THE workout that really helped me get lower body strength. Lots of pre-exhaust sets in this workout that I don't see in other Cathe's leg workouts. It's really for strength, not endurance. Even the rests are longer. The intensity comes when you go as heavy as you can. Cathe does about 16 reps for most sets. I've maxed out on my lower body, so I don't use this one as much anymore. But I use it as a "shocker" for my legs.

I like this workout too!! It is a good solid strength builder that is extremely thorough. Every part of your lower body is worked with good form and focus.

The ab workout at the end is pretty basic, but that is actually a good thing since the leg portion leaves you pretty exhausted anyways!

I would definitely recommend adding it to the repertoire..it is truly a classic! Take care, Lynn M.

I really like Strong Legs & Abs. It has a nice floor work section. I can't say if it's more intense than LL, but just different

I'm really surprised to hear you say that you think the leg portion of Power Hour is less intense than the others you've listed. Power Hour completely fries my legs!

I do like Strong Legs & Abs but I don't think it is as intense as Leaner Legs.

Thanks to all of you who gave reviews. It's been a while since I've done Power Hour, I think I'll go back and try it again! I think it was the rests after each section that made it seem easier. Thanks again for all the above input.
